I wish I had booties, but mom doesn't believe in them. That and as soon as she cracks the door I'm back in the house quicker than she can say "boo". I wonder if Wilma would be interested in a road trip to Florida, or maybe Aruba?
Mom's going to quilt today. She has to put the quilt for the co-worker together and she has to start another one. She has more fun fabrics I will show you tomorrow.
Massachusetts is saying this January may break their all time record. I don't know about Connecticut, you'll have to ask Wilma. I certainly hope that February isn't as snowy as January was.
PlusOne is hoping for a THIRD snow day, (in just over a week, we've also had 2 ninety minute delays) but with only 2" - 4" inches expected, mom doesn't think it's going to happen. Then again, we live in New Hampshire where "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it will change" is the motto. So you never know WHAT'S going to happen.
Today is supposed to be a little warmer, but I think that this weather is for the birds! We're also supposed to have snow today and Friday. We have ENOUGH snow, thank you very much. I don't want ANY MORE! It's time for warm weather. It's time for spring. It's time for SURF MUSIC!

Then mom started picking out fabrics for her latest commission
where she found the above left two fabrics. She also found a really neat fabric for Blondie. then Blondie found two other really gorgeous blues. But, she needed a white. A search for the perfect white ensued.
So off they went to the sale batik room which they had missed. (How they missed it, mom and Blondie just don't know.)
When they saw all the gorgeous batiks on sale, mom and Blondie said it was very unfair that there were so many beautiful batiks on sale. By this time they were both laughing so hard that mom told Blondie "you can buy this and give me half". To which Blondie agreed. By then, Blondie had caught up with mom (as far as spending went) and they did finally leave.
I'm not moving from this nice warm place and no one can make me! You got that, mom!
That's it. I am running away. Frances, here I come! (After the snow stops, of course.)

This thing is HUGE, a full 10 ounces! Mom's afraid to open it! Mom said she had no idea what she did to deserve it. The co-worker said "no reason."
This is how mom feels because she hasn't done karate since the 7th of December. Her knee is getting better, but it's slower than mom wants. (Impatient, isn't she?) So anyway, I have to do some serious cuddling this weekend to make her feel better. Wish me luck!
This is our backyard. As you can see in this photo, dad had shoveled some of it, but not nearly enough for Lucky and I to even WANT to go outside. Lucky and I are fortunate compared to Wilma, who got walloped with 30" of snow. Hey Wilma, you can keep the extra snow, we have plenty here.
While mom goes back to the daily grind, Lucky and I are going to do this. Oh, life is so rough when you are a spoiled pug.
This is a classic pin, mom, lying on the sofa, icing her knee, and Lucky, comfortably placed on mom's right shoulder, effectively pinned. I hate to say it, but two points for Lucky! I completed the pin by lying on mom's hip. Heh heh heh. And who says pugs aren't smart?
It's supposed to snow today. I think Lucky has the right idea. I think maybe I'll join her. Maybe I can drag mom with me. Actually, I don't think that will be too hard.
Why is it fabulous, you ask? Because it means that mom has two days off from work, and after a wicked week at work (try saying that five times fast) mom needs two days off from work. And she also needs to cuddle with a small black pug who only has her best interests at heart.
So, my mom got me a Facebook page (under the name Roxy Dragon Pebbles) and then she got a whole bunch of friend requests (which is totally cool) except that my silly mother isn't sure what human name goes with which pug name/blog. Can you believe it? Just what am I going to do with her. Sigh. Her training is never going to be completed!
Then physical therapy.
Then she gets to teach karate. She hasn't been on the mat since December 7th. She's not totally steady on her feet, so she's not sure about taking class Tuesday, but at least she'll be teaching and that will make her feel better. Have a great day, everyone.
