Today, on Facebook, a bunch of pug bloggers and pug lovers, are honoring their pugs who have gone to the Bridge. Mom and Dad adopted Muffie and Bridget in 1993. Their owner, an elderly lady, had died and the animal control officer swooped in to find a good home for them. She really did not want to separate them, as they were five years old and had been together since they were puppies.
This is Bridget. She was mom's cuddle bunny and always sat with her head on mom's right hip.
Here she is with PlusOne. Bridget thought he was HER puppy, and she protected him very well.
This is Muffie sleeping on top of Bridget. They always had to touch when they were sleeping.
This is Muffie. She was more energetic, but very nosy, according to the neighbor and the vet. lol/
Bridget was 15-1/2 when she went to the Bridge. Muffie was 16-1/2 when she joined her. Mom got Lucky four months after Bridget passed and me just five months later. Lucky and I kept Muffie company until she went to join her sister. They were good dogs, mom said. They did not get into as much trouble as I do, but Bridget was often called "Unrepentant Dog" for getting into the garbage can, spreading garbage all over the kitchen floor and ignoring mom when she yelled at her. She sounds like my kind of pug.
