Jill

Mom here. Jill died Thursday morning at 12:30 am. She would have needed more surgery and a colostomy bag for the rest of her life. She said no. She was at peace with her decision. She was taken off the respirator Wednesday. I am grateful that she did not linger. I like to think my son has a guardian angel in heaven now, but there is a hole in all of our hearts.

My mother has lost one of her best friends. I know she is not a consistent blogger, but your condolences to her would be much appreciated. You can find her here, at Studio Jeanne.

I will get back to visiting soon, but right now I need a little time and I have a very sad boy to comfort. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. I am sure they are the reason Jill was able to listen to all the words of love my mother spoke to her these last few days.

    Hi Marie, I know we've spoken about this already, but just wanted to let you know once more that I'm praying for the peace beyond understanding, for the hole in your hearts to be filled with happy memories and for Jill's safe passage. She was a brave and very wise woman to do what she did - we should all aspire to live a life so full and happy that at the end of the day we can say 'it's time to go.'
