Fabulous Friday

Some of you may remember that mom made a quilt for Sweetbean, Monty's little girl. Auntie made quilts for the rest of the family, but mom actually got to make one. It was pink.
Very pink.
And very girly. Mom had a blast making it. It ranks as one of mom's favorite quilts.

Well Auntie called mom and said that Monty's mom called Auntie and let Auntie listen to Sweetbean telling her mother "NO, NO, NO" "Pinkalicious" could NOT go into the washing machine. She wanted it back.

Apparently Sweetbean pitches a fit if Kidbean even SITS on it. It's the only thing she wraps up in for bed.
There is nothing better than knowing your gift is so loved, that they can't bear being parted with it even to wash it. Mom went to bed with a big smile on her face. That's happiness for you.

    What an incredible quilt! You're right, it's so fun to make gifts for people... but to know that they love them, that's just priceless! And who wouldn't LoVE that quilt!?

    That is such a beautiful quilt and yes it does feel so good when someone just loves it so much.
    I agree, I would feel that way too- to make it last forever in perfect condition. You can just feel the love that went into making it.
