Ode To My Pug


She is golden
under the summer sun
She walks
like there is nothing wrong
in the world
Her black eyes
staring at me
She loves me
for I rescued her
provided a home
and a family
She snores ever so
slightly as she
sleeps next to me
Her extra skin
moving as I rub her
back
She licks my face
gently as I hold her
She is happy and carefree
She goes limp
when she is tired
She keeps me sane
after long days of school
Her curly Q tail
wagging slightly
She runs in little circles
She looks in different
directions when I call her
My Golden Pug
