Mom did not plant this sunflower. It popped up, growing before mom had even planted her new batch of sunflower seeds. Mom took it as a sign from our Sunflower Sisters & Fire Hydrant Brothers, telling us that while they may not be with us in body, they are with us in spirit and they are not in pain any more. They don't want us to cry but to live and to remember them with joy and smiles.
