Tattle Tale Tuesday

Mom cut the broccoli plants down (because dad said he was tired of me eating them) and SHE FED ME THE BROCCOLI. Yeah Mom! Unfortunately (for her) she didn't get a photo of me with broccoli hanging out of my mouth (phew!).

In other news, mom went to the quilt shop to get a backing for the family lap robe. Now, don't laugh, but here it is.

Auntie laughed. She said "of course you picked a Japanese kanji fabric". Mom responded with "the colors were right." See, mom didn't want a fabric that was too light but also couldn't anchor the quilt. She wanted a darker background. And this fabric is perfect in that regard. Plus, two people told her they loved it, so there you go. When it's done being quilted mom will post a photo. (That may be a while, lol).

Stupid Computer

Actually,it wasn't the computer, it was the internet. It wouldn't let mom get on at all last night, so mom couldn't post anything witty and wonderful. Sigh. Well, here I am. Ta Da! If only I had something to say. lol

Actually, I do. If anyone in the area wants to adopt a sweet 7 year old male pug (with separation issues because he's been abandoned twice) let me know. He really is a love and mom would take him but she can't have three pugs. (Yes, I know Punchy, what's one more) but he need someone who is a more stay at home person than mom. Thanks, and have a great day.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I'm hanging out this morning, trying to stay warm. It's been cold and windy and I don't like it at all.

Look at what Blondie made with the fabric mom gave her! Mom had to laugh. Blondie always loves mom's fabrics.

Mom is going to the quilt store today to pick out a backing fabric for the family lap robe.

I am hoping it will get finished soon (I am looking forward to cuddling underneath it!) but I don't think it will. Auntie offered to have it professionally quilted for a family Christmas gift. It will make it really, really beautiful. All I care about is that's it's nice and warm, but then, who cares what I want!

Mega Saturday

Mom and PlusOne went to see Megamind yesterday. It was really funny. Mom loved the Marlon Brando impression and laughed at the Mr. Miyagi poster. Lucky and I didn't get to go, but we both managed to stay in bed til about 9:30 am and we scored some leftover turkey, so it was still a really good day.

Fabulous Friday

Why Is it a Fabulous Friday, you ask?

Because mom doesn't have to go to work today. Which means I get to sleep late, tucked underneath the blankets next to mom, all nice and warm and cozy. Su WEET!

Tattle Tale Tuesday

Lucky here. I'm doing the tattling today. This is mom's broccoli.

Or rather, what's left of it.

Notice the stem in the lower left corner, how it looks like it has been eaten right off the stalk? That's because it was!

See, I know it's blurry, but you can clearly see where it was eaten. By none other than my sister Roxy.

Boy, was mom mad at her. Roxy's in hiding until mom calms down. I think it's gonna take a few days for that to happen.

All Done!

Mom's BFF Blondie came over yesterday for some "girl time", took one look at all the quilt pieces mom had, laughed a whole lot and then said "let's get this thing done!"

(Blondie always manages to come over when mom needs her the most, when mom is looking at the quilt going "I don't know what to do next" and "do I have enough pieces?" Blondie says "do this" and "you have plenty!" followed by lots of loving laughter. (They've been friends for 30 years! That's like older than rocks!)

Mom wanted it to be about 5' x 7'. It's about 6' x 9'. LOL. It's supposed to fit mom, dad, PlusOne, Lucky and me as we all sit on the sofa. Mom and Blondie gave it a size check. It's good!

Here I am testing it for quality and comfort.

Once mom puts the quilt batting in it, I am sure it will be awesomely warm, the perfect thing for Lucky and I to stay warm and cozy on a cold winter day.

The WEEKEND

You know, the only difference in my life on the weekend is that mom is around and I can sit on her lap. Otherwise, I pretty much do the same thing I do during the week. Whatever I want. Muwhahahahahaha.

The Best Place To Be

when mom's trying to quilt. LOL

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that mom is getting better and that we are loved, indoor pugs. It rained so much and so hard yesterday mom was wondering if she was going to have to build an ark. I'm glad it stopped raining when it was time to go outside and do my business. That would have been a whole lot of no fun otherwise.

Time Is Flying

Mom can't believe that next week is Thanksgiving. She thinks time is flying way too fast. The next thing you know, we'll be having snow and blizzards and freezing cold weather and and and ... it's time to climb back underneath the blankies!

A Tough Job

Do you mind? I'm working here! It's a tough job keeping mom still for any length of time. I can't have you distracting me! She needs rest to get better and apparently I am the only one capable of keeping her still. Yup, me just call me Super Pug.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

And since mom is sick, she is going to join us doing nothing today. Yeah!

Step Exam

Today is mom and PlusOne's step exam for karate. This will be mom's third as a 2nd degree and PlusOne's second. Eight more of these and mom will be testing for third degree black belt. She;ll be 50 then. LOL I didn't know they had black belts that old. hahahaha

Funny Photo Friday

Wow, look at that!

La la la, look at me, I'm innocent. I don't see anything.

Why do you think I had something to do with that?

Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to all who served. My dad served on the U.S. S. Dwight D. Eisenhower in the early 1980's and Lucky and I are both very proud of him.

Update

Justice has been served! After deliberating for only ninety minutes, the verdict has been returned on the monster that deliberately murdered a mother and nearly killed her young daughter.

GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!

The judge told him that he gets "to spend the rest of his pointless life in jail".

(Today is his 19th birthday. He told his lawyers "I wonder if the jurors will sing me happy birthday.")

This case hit very close to home for me, and I have had a hard time with it. But seeing justice be served makes me very happy. I can only pray that once the second monster is convicted in February, the family can really put this tragedy behind them and live a life free of pain and fear.

My Demands

Let's get something straight right now. I am not interested in snow. I am not interested in slush. I am not interested in an "icy mix". I am not interested in temperatures below 40 degrees. So if you think I am going outside in any of the above conditions, think again!

I have spoken and my word is law!
PS Where's my broccoli.

A Little Quilt

Mom finished this little quilt up last week. Now she has to get cracking on the family lap robe.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

Easy Like Sunday Morning

We didn't have much sun yesterday, so I am opting for the fleece blanket this morning. I think that's where I will be all day today. Hope mom or dad don't have a problem with that.

Saturday Sunshine

After a day and a half of heavy rain, I am looking forward to some sunshine. Wouldn't you?

Perfectly Innocent

Seriously folks, do I look like a trouble maker to you?

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that mom loves me, and didn't decide to throw me out onto the mean streets after I ate just a teeny, tiny bit of her granola. So what if she could see about 2 square inches of the bottom of the pan, it doesn't mean I ate that much. So what that the other pan had the same amount missing. It just goes to show that it couldn't possibly have been me. I mean, seriously, like I would eat that much from both pans of granola?

And so what that there is photographic evidence of me licking my chops. It doesn't mean anything. Any pug worth his or her salt does the same thing day or night. (Right, guys?)

And so what there was oatmeal in my poops. I found that oatmeal, on the floor, yeah, on the floor. You really ought to clean up better after yourself, mom.

Anyway, I am thankful I have her, even if she does believe the worst of me.

Tattletale Tuesday

But mom, if home made granola is good for you, why isn't it good for me?

And Dad Says I'm Bad...

Come on, who does he think he's kidding. He's just as bad as me, if not worse!
