The incredible life of my new sister, Juliet, and me, Roxy Dragon Pebbles, otherwise known as The Devil Dog. I have no idea what I did to deserve that name! Honest! Just because I'm a black dog doesn't mean I'm naughty dog.
Mom and Dad have been thinking Juliet need a playmate so they called NH Small Dog rescue and talked to Bonnie.
Bonnie told them about Loopy.
Loopy was abandoned by his family when they left Puerto Rico during the hurricane, but was immediately rescued. His family had left a $100.00 bill on his collar.
Anyway, Loopy likes to run and jump and do the zoomies in the back yard just like Juliet does so Bonnie thought they would be a good match.
Well, Juliet was shy when they got there and didn't really "welcome" Loopy. But there was no snarls or growls, so that was good.
Loopy handled the drive well and he ate right away (unlike Juliet who waited a day or two) but then when it was time to go outside and play... Well, let's just say they played hard and had a ball.
He is also very friendly with me, recognizing that I am Queen of this particular domain and I think he will be good for Juliet. Now she will stop pestering me to play, but will still sleep next to me when it's nap time.
Many (many) years ago, Mom went to a Stephen King talk. During the talk, he said he had an idea about a woman going into a ladies rest room and something happening but none of the men dared go in because it was the ladies room. Even Superman didn't dare go in.
Of course, Mom wanted to ask about Wonder Woman or Phoenix, Scarlet Witch or... you get the idea.
Anyway, Mom thinks that maybe that idea stuck around in his head and turned into this.
Dad is not happy with me. Juliet and I got into some tiffs, I missed Mom a lot so I didn't really behave well and Dad had to chase Juliet (and me) around the back yard to bring us in when he took us out bright and early (and cold!) yesterday morning.
But Mom is BACK! We will all sleep well and I am NOT letting Mom go away again!
Juliet is walking much better lately. Mom doesn't have to drag her half way through the walk only to be dragged home. Juliet is still afraid of garbage toters and SUV's, but she enjoys walking with Mom and when they go out they usually walk 1-1/2 miles.
Juliet always sleeps well after a walk. So does Mom.
