It means laying around all day doing nothing. And I mean nothing.
Not that Lucky and I do that. I mean, we're napping, re-charging, contemplating life. We are not doing nothing.
Mom was decadent today. She stayed in bed late, came downstairs, ate breakfast, cleaned up a bit and then read. For like hours. And then when she finished her book (Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult) she worked on her quilt.

And worked on her quilt. And worked on her quilt some more. Oh, she made dinner and did laundry and watched Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly & a really young Frank Sinatra. She made her lunch for tomorrow, washed the dishes and helped PlusOne make his lunch for tomorrow, but she didn't take a shower (she did brush her teeth), she never got out of her nightgown, and she didn't go anywhere. It was cold and raining, again, so she says she doesn't feel guilty, and actually, she thinks it was sort of fun. Not that she is going to make a habit of it, but every once in a while, she says you need to just chill.
Haven't I been telling her that for like, forever?
