Juliet

My sweet Juliet has went to the Bridge Saturday.

She'd had a UTI but it was not getting better very quickly. Thursday she threw up once but otherwise seemed okay.
Friday she threw up twice and wouldn't eat.
Saturday I took her to the vet.
The vet checked her bladder and it was full.

She immediately did an X-Ray. Juliet had 2 stones, but she was "obstructing".
The vet had never seen a female "obstruct before".
She immediately sent me off to the emergency clinic.
Juliet seemed fine while we waited and then I left her. They told me they would call after surgery.
Instead, I got a phone call telling me that when they took her out of the cage to prepare for surgery, Juliet rolled off and started having problems breathing.
They intubated her, gave her epinephrine and even did chest compressions, but my little girl was gone.
The vet did not know what happened and could only surmise my little Juliet had a congenital heart defect that was never caught.

Memere thinks Juliet is in heaven with Pepere, keeping him company.
Both my mother and I are devastated and Christmas was very hard, to say the least.
The Rescue Lady told me I gave her a very good life for the short time we had her and I know that is true, but I was not prepared to lose her so very suddenly and I miss her very much.

I, too, am saddened for you. You seemed to have much such a huge difference in her life and clearly, she made a big difference in yours.
