Pepere's surgery took an hour and a half and his heart did great the whole time. After, the doctors told Memere and Auntie to go home and get some rest, Pepere would be too groggy to see them. Well, guess who called during Memere and Auntie's dinner! Pepere! He said he wasn't feeling any pain and Auntie said he sounded great!
He also called PlusOne, who was real worried about him.
If Pepere heals the way he should, he will be moved to a rehab facility on Wednesday or Thursday, and should be home with Memere and Missy in time for Turkey Day next week!
Mom, dad, PlusOne, Lucky and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. We know that every prayer counts and we appreciate it. Now mom can concentrate on showing off for Wednesday night. Thanks again!

This is just the good news I was hoping for.
Hip replacements are no fun, and the recovery is hard... but I know this will improve Pepere's quality of life and mobility!

I told the Woman not to go away--now look. You needed our purrs and we couldn't be there. We are glad that news was good even without us and we will now make up for our inability to wish him well and purr by purring even harder that he heals quickly.
