More Gardening

Mom found six more sunflowers she has to transplant. She found them after she was busy with the green beans and peas. Take a look at this root she found when she was preparing the ground for the transplants.

It took dad to finally pull it out. It was pretty long and deep.

Anyway, behind dad and PlusOne is all green beans and peas now. It's over twenty feet long and mom STILL has more green beans and peas to transplant. I think maybe mom is going to open her own vegetable stand this summer. Since she did that, she now plans to roto-til the other fence wall for the beets and broccoli. strawberries and, of course, the leftover green beans and peas.

Yup, you want any vegies, you just give us a jingle. I'm sure we'll be able to help you out.

We'd do that but we're trying to eat a bit more local... :)! That is one amazing root. I don't think we'll have that many peas in our yard though--we only planted about 12 plants.

A rollable garden composter is a great addition to any garden. They make it easy to keep your plants and vegetables provided with the nutrition and soil they need.
