Tuesday Give Away

Well, first I would like to give the "Thank You For Being My Friend" award to Mickey, one of the first to greet me on the blogoshpere last August and to post me as a "Not Of My Species Special Friend." I felt very special, indeed, when I saw that.

This is for you, Mickey! I would also like to give it to Frances Louise, because I think we would be great friends, if we lived closer. Actually, I should give it to all of you, because you are all my friends and all your caring thoughts when I was sick and the house was broken into meant a lot to mom, me, Lucky, dad and the boy.

That's it for tonight, more later.

Oh yeah, anonymous asked mom about having pugs when the boy was born, and how mom handled it. And for pictures. (We know the color is weird on the boy's head.) This is Bridget. Bridget was 9 when the boy was born and had been with mom and dad for four years.

She always sat or slept next to him. She protected him from the terrible neighbor lady when she came to give mom a gift after the boy was born. She jumped on the sofa between mom and the neighbor and sat at attention, not letting the neighbor touch the boy. The neighbor called her "sentinal dog" saying "she won't let me touch the baby." Mom thought "good girl".

When the boy was born, dad brought home something the boy had slept on in the hospital for Muffie and Bridget to smell. He let them examine it a good long while. When mom came home with the boy, dad carried the boy in and mom went to Muffie and Bridget, letting them spend as long as they wanted welcoming her. Later mom introduced them to the boy. Bridget thought the boy was hers and that was the end of it.

Hope this helps, anonymous.

Monday, Monday

Well, except for last night, mom had a good, relaxing weekend. She and the boy made some English Muffin Bread, he actually did the mixing with his hands. He really enjoyed it. They had a lot of fun together.

In other news, we received some awards. DaisyMae Maus gave us the "E" for Excellent Award. Thank you very much, DaisyMae. We are very honored by the award.

And River gave us this award, the "Thank you for being my friend" Award. Thank you ever so much, River, it is lovely being considered your friend.

And lastly, our dear friend Mickey gave us this award. The Caring Cat (Dog) Award. I think I received it because I forced mom to relax this weekend. I am such a good doggie. Thanks Mickey.

Now, mom knows that she has to give these away, but since I am trying to get her in bed before eleven, we shall do the giving tomorrow. Good night! Sleep tight, and don't let the bad dreams (of those silly guys named Pat who played really terribly for most of the game) bite. (Dad says "Welcome all Patriot Fans to Red Sox Nation!)

Oh yeah, did any of you realize that I am on top of Lucky in the picture of mom in the recliner? If you look real hard, you will see her fawn color mom's left hand. hee hee hee

Sunday Success

Well, my plan worked perfectly. Mom went to karate (at 8:40 am) and came back after her and the boy's class, cashed a check, got gas for her car, and then she camped out in the recliner. Reading. With me and Lucky! She even made dad take the boy to his cello lesson. She stayed home, camped in the recliner! And then, after dinner, she camped on the couch, with me on her lap, again! Under a blanket, too. I am so good.

Saturday Sillies

Mom is real tired. She has had a very busy week and a half at work, and a very eventful weekend last weeked. She is saying that after karate tomorrow, she is going to snuggle up like this and do nothing. Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it. But just in case she does mean it, I want to be prepared. So here I am practising my "keep mom immobile" pose. What do you think?

Think this will work?

Finally Friday

Jimmy Joe's sister, Coco, tagged me for the Three Things Meme. What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

Now, Coco said: "I tag Roxy the Devil Dog, because her sister Lucky wrote the meme but I don't think Roxy has yet!"

But this is what my fur cousin, Darling Millie said about it: "I'm gonna tag my fur cousin Lucky (because Roxy does whatever she wants anyway).

1) I would run away from home and find the fields where the BROCCOLI is grown, and I would have myself a field day. Ha Ha, no pun intended! I would eat as much broccoli as I wanted.

2) I would chase all the big dogs that walk by my house and tell them to stay away, this is MY house and my yard. No pooping or peeing allowed on MY lawn. It's MINE, I tell you!

3) I would go to the jail where the FIVE people who were arrested in connection to the break in (3 broke in, 2 were arrested for trafficking in stolen goods) and I would POOP on their pillows and PEE on their sheets so that when they went to bed, they sat in it and got all gross. Take that for scaring my sister (and me) right before Christmas, AND for making mom cry. Then I would let all you kitties and woofies do the same!

And, of course, I would continue to eat all the food I can lay my paws on, shred all the kleenex I can find, chew all the pens mom leaves lying on the coffee table and be the absolutely spoiled Devil Dog that I am.
