Well, first I would like to give the "Thank You For Being My Friend" award to Mickey, one of the first to greet me on the blogoshpere last August and to post me as a "Not Of My Species Special Friend." I felt very special, indeed, when I saw that.
This is for you, Mickey! I would also like to give it to Frances Louise, because I think we would be great friends, if we lived closer. Actually, I should give it to all of you, because you are all my friends and all your caring thoughts when I was sick and the house was broken into meant a lot to mom, me, Lucky, dad and the boy.
That's it for tonight, more later.
Oh yeah, anonymous asked mom about having pugs when the boy was born, and how mom handled it. And for pictures. (We know the color is weird on the boy's head.) This is Bridget. Bridget was 9 when the boy was born and had been with mom and dad for four years.
She always sat or slept next to him. She protected him from the terrible neighbor lady when she came to give mom a gift after the boy was born. She jumped on the sofa between mom and the neighbor and sat at attention, not letting the neighbor touch the boy. The neighbor called her "sentinal dog" saying "she won't let me touch the baby." Mom thought "good girl".
When the boy was born, dad brought home something the boy had slept on in the hospital for Muffie and Bridget to smell. He let them examine it a good long while. When mom came home with the boy, dad carried the boy in and mom went to Muffie and Bridget, letting them spend as long as they wanted welcoming her. Later mom introduced them to the boy. Bridget thought the boy was hers and that was the end of it.
Hope this helps, anonymous.

And, Roxy, don't be worried! Mickey will love the award! :)
Whut a great guard dog! WE is practicing to be furry good guard cats too!
We used to have a german shepard that took care of us when we were babbies.
It sounds like your mom (and dad!) did a good job of introducing the Boy to Muffie and Bridget. :) Those are very cute photos of Bridget and the Boy. :)
Ahhhh! Thank you Mom, that helped alot. I know it will be fine when baby girl comes home in April, but I just don't want Abby to be jealose (Cush will be fine, he is so happy no matter what) Sounds likes the key is spending extra time with them when we come home from the hospital, so they know they are just as important! Thank you so much for the advice and the absolutley adorable pics! xoxo
Ooooh. So it's sit next to the baby, not on the baby.
Got it.
