Memere gave mom some lamb chops. Mom had to cook them, but sort of forgot Thursday night. So there she was, at 11:00pm putting them into the crock pot. She filled the crock pot to the brim, turned it on low and went to bed.
Only to wake up at 2:00 am because I was scratching at the bedroom door. Mom didn't know what I wanted, but figured, to heck with it, and let me out. That's when she smelled the lamb, And BOY DID IT SMELL GOOD!
Eventually I came back to bed. Now, mom knew I couldn't reach the crock pot, so she wasn't worried, but she did have a hard time falling back to sleep with that delicious lamb smell permeating the house.
I went downstairs a half an hour later. And a half an hour after that, and a half an hour after that and so on and so on.
Dad wakes up at 4:00 am. He told mom I came downstairs every half hour on the dot, trying to see if I could reach the lamb.
I couldn't. Bummer!
Mom said she's never doing that again. Bummer!

Man I bet those would have been tasty!
Can you imagine the trouble you would have been in if you had managed to get the lid off!
Glad you all are feeling a little better now.
Hahaha... Now that would be a story for smellovision!

Mmmmmm Lammy chops are one of my (Salinger's...NOT mom's!)FAAAVORITES!
I bet all that waiting during the night paid off!!!!
Happy Tuesday!
Awe, you poor thing! You were tempted all night! That's just wrong. So, how were the lamb chops? I mean, you totally got to them eventually, right??
hahaha Oh Roxy! Your poor little sensitive nose was keeping you up all night! Did you get a little nibble of the lamb the next day?
Lamb chops! That's what I call my Po Po's large flappy puggie gums. *laugh*
And I just could imagine you up on the counter helping yourself to the lamb, Roxy!
Lamb chops? Wow, hope you get some.
Thanks for dropping by and for all your support. We really appreciate it.

Hi Roxy:)
I guess that is one of the disadvantagesto being a small dog. We can't get into stuff on the counter:(
Have a GREAT week!!
Pugsley
I feel your pain sister. Grandma baked a roast on Sunday and it was intoxicating. I couldn't reach it either.
BOL Roxy, you are too cute! I would have done the same thing...silly hoomans always tempting us with delicous smelling food!
Sniffs and licks,
Chase
I would be lickin' my lips, too!
Ooooh!! Thank god Gus and Indy can't get on to the counter or else I would never use my slow cooker! lol
Kitchens should be made using a pug scale! So not fair you didn´t get the lamb!
What kind of crazy lady cooks lamb chops in the middle of the night, LOL
And how were you to know that they were in some slow-cooker contraption; I'm sure you were just doing your Puggy duty to alert Hoomans before they got burnt x
Hi Roxy!
I'm sorry you didn't get to reach the lamb chops. Did your mom at least share with you when they were all done?
:) Tibby
You really didn't get the crockpot? Mom used to use ours a lot - until the twins came to live with us. They won't leave anything on the counter alone so there's no more delicious middle of the night crock pot smells for me. :(
Your pal,
Titus
Gee!! No wonder it was hard to sleep. Bet it's hard when you are home all day when your Mom is at work too :O
It's not easy to ignore yummy smells!!
Purrs Mickey
