Blogoversary & Sad News

Today is my THREE year Blogoversary! Isn't that cool? I can't believe I have been blogging that long. I have met some great woofies, and even kitties (after all, Millie is my fur cousin).

But while it is a really cool day for me, I have some really sad news. Two of our blogger buddies have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. The first is Fat Eric. And yes, Eric really was FAT. He lost a lot of weight but still looked fluffy because of his gorgeous floofy ginger fur. He was British and he was quite a character. I have enjoyed reading about Eric very much over the last two years.

The other friend to go to the Rainbow Bridge is Lucky's boyfriend Luxor. Their romance started when Lucky said she thought that Luxor was the "Gregory Peck" of mancats. Luxor responded with "Lucky, why are you with that boy, and not with me" and voila, the great Road Trip For True Love began.
Lucky insisted on going all the way to New Mexico to see her beloved and I, of course, had to go to make sure nothing happened to her. At least fifteen bloggers joined us on the trip. Rereading the comments is pretty funny. It was a fun time. Luxor was so happy to meet Lucky. I know he will be keeping watch over her from the Rainbow Bridge (between his frolicking with Fat Eric).

Lucky and I will miss Eric and Luxor tremendously. They were wonderful friends who were loved by all.

We thought of the road trip when we read about Luxor. We didn't participate but we remember it well because it was our first experience with virtual travel. We're sad for all the recent losses and know Lux's hit you hard. Purrs and tail wags.

Happy Blogoversary Roxy!

We remember that trip well because we were on it. So much fun we all had.

And yes we share in your sadness for both Luxor and Eric...and we also lost two others Molly and Winnie who had a very short life.

But, with great sadness also comes great happiness. We know that Eric and Luxor, Molly and even little Winnie would not want us to be sad (even tho we are) but they would want us to help you celebrate. So celebrate we will in their honor...and they would enjoy being here with all of us.
