As you all now, tax time is coming. Mom and dad have an accountant. They have had the same account since 1992, when dad's mom died and dad received an inheritance, (which they used to buy the house). Every year the accountant mails mom and dad a bunch of forms and every year mom mails them back. But first, mom has to fill out the forms. That's where mom's Quicken comes in. Mom tries to be very organized about this, but it is still something she doesn't like to do, so she puts it off. Well, she finally buckled down and filled all the forms out and is mailing them to the accountant today. So that is why today is "taxing".
Now, enough of the unpleasant stuff. Here is some really GOOD news. The Meezer's Mom, has finally got a good job! Yippie! They have had a rough time for quite a while, and all my friends have been praying and hoping that they would finally get some good news, and they DID! So let's all put our paws together for a big round of applause and howling, hissing, barking, meowing or whatever it is you do for the Meezers! We still have to get dad going, but at least mom is all set.
Which brings me to the other point I want to make. Mom and Auntie are doing something special for the Meezers. It's sort of like what Auntie is doing for Churchill, but bigger! If you think real hard, you may remember mom talking about the last thing she and Auntie did together, and no, we are not talking about the ironing board table. That's all I'm going to say about it for the moment. Let's see what you guys come up with. :)

PS....mom says there were lots of those fun hydrants.
I've heard unpleasant mutterings about taxes going on here, too ...
That's such wonderful news about the Meezers!
Oh, we think we know what your mom and aunt are doing for the Meezers! :)
We don't understand all the tax stuff, but fortunately our dad takes care of that.
You and Lucky look very cute in that photo, Roxy. :)
I was very excited and happy to hear the wonderful news about Miles and Sammy's mom!
Taxes? Ugh! Woman does not have an accountant. She takes an entire Saturday to do the taxes, but that won't be for another month or so. She's a procrastinator, because we always have to pay money at tax time. Sometimes it's no good to be self-employed, because the government takes an extra 15% for self-employment tax. Isn't that crap? Anyway, good luck with whatever is going on for the Meezers. I'm not sure what a Meezer is, but I bet I can't eat it, so it probably doesn't pertain much to me.
Good Morning!
That is wonderful news about your friends! You both look so happy and relaxed on the sofa. That is a great way to be!

It is nice of your Mom to fill out the forms for the accountant. My Bean says she has clients that just throw everything into a shoe box and let her sort it out.
Mommy does not have a pleasant thing to say about taxes, so she will be very silent about this subject.
Good for Meezer's Mom . . . hope things will be turning around for them!
Mommy got their taxes done the day Dad's w2 came in the mail. She likes to sit down and figure out the ways to get a nice big fat refund. Not so fat this year, but they promised we would get something out of it. We are always in need of more toys and lots of extra treats.

Ugh, taxes. Yes, I already did mine and (SURPRISE!) get a small refund...but that is not usually the case which is why I dread tax time. I do all mine on a computer program and then submit it online and wa-la, it's done! But it still seems to take forever to answer all the questions. Blah!
The puggies are SO cute! UGH, and I have to do my taxes, too....
