We are very sorry that our friend Ruis's sister, Miral, went to the Bridge over the week-end. Miral fought valiantly but in the end, she could not fight any more.
She was very much loved, and will be very much missed.
On the thankful side, we have learned that Lilly Lu, Mu Shue and Iris are FINALLY safe with their mom Laura after a fire destroyed part of their apartment building. After a very nerve wracking time of not knowing what had happened to her beloved kitties, all three were found safe and are now reunited and recovering. I am very sad about Miral, but delighted that Mu Shue, Lilly Lu and Iris are back with Mom Laura.
It was a very bittersweet weekend. We are sad about Miral.

It was a rough weekend. We are so glad the LL and crew are back with their mom. And we are so sad about Miral.
Talk about a roller-coaster weekend-first, sadness for Miral's passing and the emptiness her family is feeling, and then terror for MuShue, Lilly Lu, and Iris (thank goodness mom Laura is safe!), and then utter joy! to find that they were safe after all and that the local PD was SO kind as to retrieve them for mom Laura!
Whew, I'm clean worn out!
