Wild Weather

Here in New Hampshire, we have many things; blizzards, thunderstorms, hail, snow, sleet, sunshine, (sometimes all in one day) and even a hurricane or two. We DON'T have tornados. Until yesterday.

Here are some of the photos taken from the news.

This house collapsed on a woman, killing her and injuring her husband and 3 month old grandchild.

One man said he saw 70 year old trees snap like twigs.

This is about 40 minutes from where we live.

We had lots and lots of torrential rain. Mom had another hair raising car ride home. Lucky and I were safe and snug in the house.

Boy, are we thankful for that. The ollowing links show even more damage. In one of them, you can see that the entire garage is gone, but the cars are still there! The house is just flattened. FLATTENED!

Mom is really thankful she had a house to come home to and that dad made it safely home as well.

That's just awful! Mom has always been especially scared of tornadoes (we don't get many here, either).

I'm glad you & Lucky were safe and snug at home.

That is very scary. I am glad that it stayed away from you. The weather is crazy. We had our first ever tornado warning a few months ago. Luckily nothing actually happened, but it was weird.

Those pictures left me speechless. I'm glad you're all safe!

The weather has been very strange here in Toronto. LOTS of rain. Yesterday at noon it became official that this has been the wettest summer in 28 years.

Oh my goodness...I have never seen huge nice houses like that completely wrecked by a tornado. You always see trailers or little tiny houses that you can imagine blowing away in the wind, but those big, huge, sturdy houses really testify to how bad the tornado must have been. We're so glad you guys stayed safe!

Wow, crazy! You are indeed lucky. I hate it when scary stuff like that happens so close to where I live. Makes me feel very fragile.
