In The DogHouse & Questions And Answers

I am in the doghouse. BIG time. With dad! I jumped on the computer desk to get the leftover crackers and knocked his coke over. It spilled on his mouse and part of his keyboard. And the carpet and his chair. Luckily, both the keyboard and the mouse still work. But that didn't save me from being chased around the house by dad. I tried to hide behind mom, but she was no help. Cleaning up the mess and ignoring me. Harrumph!

As you can see from the photo, I am trying to lay low and look real innocent and cute. Do you think it is working?

There is now no more old insulation or old sheet rock on the back porch. It is all gone. ALL GONE! There is only one piece of yukky paneling left. It is behind this bookcase. That wall is an interior wall, so mom does not have to insulate it or sheet rock it. Yeah team!

Mom will be real busy this weekend putting another coat of paint on the wall, painting the ceiling, and re-insulating and re-sheet rocking these last two sections. I am going to try and hide from dad.

Mom had a couple of questions about her lap robes.

1) How much, what size and will mom be doing them for overseas.

Last question first. Yes, of course, mom will ship overseas. Mom has to figure it out, but she is sure Auntie will help, especially as Auntie is a pro at that.

What sizes? Pretty much whatever size you want. Mom, being 5'4" likes to be tucked into her lap robe, so she would make one 5' x 4'. PlusOne likes to be totally covered up to his neck with them. He is 5' tall. Mom would make his bigger.

Colors are pretty much whatever scheme you would like, unless you want mom to just do her own thing. Mom knew Cassie liked pink, so mom planned it around that. These are custom, one of a kind.

Price. Lap robes with quilt batting inside is $10.00/square foot. Quilts, with no batting, is $9.00/ square foot. So a 5' x 4' lap robe would be $200.00 before shipping.

Mom is working on getting a PayPal account and eventually an Etsy Shop.

Hope that covers everything. And hope dad forgives me. Soon.

You look very cute to me, Roxy. I hope your Dad forgives you soon. He should learn not to leave leftover crackers around. Your Mom has been really busy. Thank you for the information about the lap robes. I'm really late in getting back to you, but you can come over and dig in my yard and chase the gopher any time you want.

Roxy, we are sorry that you are in trouble. But how could you resist the crackers? I can sympathize. I get in trouble all the time for trying to eat dad's chips, crackers, cheese, etc, etc.

Your mom is very busy and very talented!

You are super cute, Roxy.

And tell me about it. My pugs chewed up our Swiffer sweeper the other day and ruined it. I had to buy a new one and was not happy with them.

You should post a picture of someone modeling a lap robe!

Glad the keyboard still works!

Mom has to wear orthodics for her fallen arches, but Big Brother ate them a while back when I was just a little puppy. NOT cheap.

(And there is absolutely no evidence of my involvement. None that you will find)

I hope your Dad understands that you were only helping him out. We pugs like to shake things up a bit. :)

You'll never hear your Mama or Dad say, "It's too quiet." Thanks to you!

Have a good weekend.

Oh we look forward to seeing your Etsy shop. Our human also does some quilting so she's not likely to buy but she's always happy to get excited and say YOU GO!!! and of course get ideas for things she'll probably never get around to doing!

Have you read the Elmcreek Quilts book by Jennifer Chiaverini (or is Chiaveri?)

Remind your humans that THEY have certainly spilled something sometime! You will be forgiven because you are so cute and irresistible we are certain. Just keep giving them your "I'm so sorry" look ...

Gah, at least you look remorseful about it. The slobberhound just stares at his mess with a 'who did that?' look.

Woof Roxy

You just need to point out to your Mom and Dad that it could have been a lot worse. You could have eaten the mouse and keyboard. They should be thanking you for not munching on them. Besides, they should have put the crackers where you could get to them. So it's really their fault.

Roxy, we hope you were forgiven. There doesn't seem to be any lasting damage, so all is well, right?

Your mom's lap robes are going to be wonderful. Handmade things last a long time.
