Sewing Room Update

But first, me! After all, this is MY blog!

Mindy and Moe of Team Tabby gave me (us) these two awards, because:

"Roxy and Lucky , are two very friendly pugs and we never tire of following what they and their talented family is up to next."

Isn't that sweet? Aren't they just the nicest. Mom really likes them. I think Moe is very funny, and Mindy is very sweet. It must run in the family!

Anyway, here are the newest sewing room photos. It went from this....

Above this window is done too!

Obviously, mom needs new windows, but at $422.00 a pop (and there are 4 of them), it is gonna be a while. She also needs a new floor, but that will cost even more. Right now, she has to sand the ceiling, mud it again, sand it again, mud it again, sand it one last time and then paint it. Then mom is going to paint the walls. Hopefully, that will be this weekend. Then mom will slowly start buying the door trim and ceiling molding, paint that, and put it up.

The room is 2/3 re-insulated and sheet-rocked, and re-paneled. Mom has 2 more outlets to replace and has to wire up both ceiling lights. She wants to get sewing in there. She wants to finish her Asian quilt and work on that idea she asked you all about earlier in the summer.

Well I think the room looks fabulous.

Here's a quilting website I love to go look at and admire her work. I don't have the patience to do it but I love looking at quilts..!

Dad is curled up in the corner, sucking his thumb remembering the horror that was mudding/sanding the basement walls and ceiling.

So, good luck with that!

Wow! We are impressed with everything your human is doing. Our human is so not that handy. One closet did her in...(um yeah we had to sand and mud and stuff...)

Congrats on the awards, you deserve it. Holy puppy poop, is that house ever gonna be finished? There's just way too much work going on over there. How do you find the time to sleep?

You've got a pretty handy mom! Personally I prefer to destruct rather than making stuff better...

I'm just flabbergasted, Roxy! Your mom is just Madam DIY, isn't she? That's just so cool, and no doubt saves her many green papers, which she gets to spend on PlusOne and you guys, huh? I would like her to start workin' on that idea, too, 'cause it's a great one.

BTW...you were turned away from the camera in the first picture, so there was...NO PUG BELLEH!!!! That's just wrong!

What Angus Mhor said - we need to see your cute belly!

That sewing room is gonna be super. Your mom is doing a fantastic job. Our beans have done that mudding, sanding thing and they try to avoid it now. It's a lot of work and messy. A dedicated sewing room will be perfect for your mom's quilt making! Actually it's more like a studio....nice big windows, lights to be added.

Oh Roxy! I love that picture of you! Your Mommy is doing a great job with the room! Make sure you keep her working on that room so she can make me a quilt of love! My Mommy said she loves your Mommy's quilts & she would love for her to make one for us! Me & Mommy can snuggle in it while I dream of you!
