This is Anadama bread. Auntie made mom and dad FIVE loaves of it for Christmas. I think it might have molasses in it, I am not sure. It is a brownish bread, and it is quite yummy. Mom would not share a loaf with grandpa. She said he got three loaves of English Muffin Bread and that was enough. This is hers! All hers! (And dad's.)
If that is not enough reason to drool, this is. This is Auntie's killer white bread. It has milk, eggs and honey in it. It is absolutely to DIE FOR. Mom got one loaf of this.
Mom says if I eat ANY of this bread I will be ONE DEAD PUG. She put it in the cabinet with the plates and the anadama bread. She is not taking any chances. She knows me too well. Look at it and drool, that's all you can do, because mom is going to be stuffing her face with it and smiling the whole time. Sigh. Life is so unfair.

We do not really care for bread, but Mom is drooling a bit! She loves homemade bread. She doesn't have time to make it the old-fashioned way, so Mom has a bread machine. It smells very yummy when it it baking, but we still do not want to nom it.
My Mommie says there is nothing better than some delicious bread and some butter! And that looks extra-scrumptious!
But it looks so good! I think they need to share with you. You are a good pug after all!

It is too darn late, Roxy. Mom done drooled all over me and the keyboard! She says that the only thing savin' you all from her reachin' through the interwebs and makin' off with that bread is the fact that the recipe could be posted on Auntie's food blog.
Which I hope she does real soon.

Oh, yum! How fortunate that you have such wonderful fambly members who make stuff like bread. Mom has a bread machine sitting on the countertop, but she BUYS bread at Panera. Sigh.

Hey Roxy! Thanks for your comment! We live near the sea but not the ocean, that's on the West Coast. We live just East along the coast from Inverness, about 40mins away. We can't hear the sea from where we live now but we can see Findhorn Bay from our window, it's about a 5min drive. (lucky us!) I was trying to tag the photo so when you click on it you can view it's location on Google Earth....any ideas?
It's weird, i'd just visited your blog to read comments and there was one about Auntie's cooking blog, I was going to ask you which blog it was in your list but you beat me to it, thanks! We'll definitely check it out cos those loaves looked so good!
Phew, that was a bit of a novel, sorry!
Hope you have a good Monday!

Ooooo Anadama bread! Mine mombean sez she hasn't had any of that in years. Mmmm toasted with butter ... Drool ...
Mombean would like to know if you would be interested in a trade for some San Francisco sourdough?
That bread looks yummy.
Mom made two different batches of crackers this week. It's the first time she's baked in years and years. They smelled good, but I decided to take a pass on them when she offered me a taste. I prefer stealing lettuce from her plate.
I'd offer you some crackers, but they disappeared very quickly. Mom's been talking about adding pesto and homemade oven dried tomatoes the next time she makes a batch. She's always experimenting and there's no predicting how they will turn out. She's like that about a lot of things.
