In A Place Called Vertigo

Somehow, yesterday morning, mom was teleported onto a ship that was swaying back and forth and back and forth. Mom got up to get ready for work, but had to grab onto the wall to keep from falling over. Her ears were ringing and ringing, and wouldn't stop. She told PlusOne to get ready for school, then tried one more time to get into the shower. But it kept moving. So she called the boss and said she had "vertigo" and couldn't go to work. That's when PlusOne started singing "In a place called vertigo" by U2. Mom wanted to kill him.

Next, her stomach tried to rebel. Mom said that Dry Heaves are no fun when your stomach is COMPLETELY empty. She told dad she tried to relax, but she said it was hard to relax when things are going the wrong way.

After she got PlusOne to school. Yes, she drove him the 7 blocks to school, (very slowly) came home and got into bed. Naturally, I stayed with her and kept her safe from the ringing and swaying. Lucky helped. But I did most of the work. And I did not ask to go to the bathroom, forcing mom to get out of bed 4 hours later. But I went when she took us out. Then back to bed, with a piece of toast. Or two. I didn't even try to eat it. Aren't I good?

She is better now, and will go to work tomorrow, but she didn't do much today, and wants to know how can she be tired when she stayed in bed til 3:00 pm?

I hope your Mom is feeling lots better now. Vertigo doesn't sound like much fun at all, especially the dry heaves part. You were very good to stay with her and not try to eat her toast. Maybe she's tired from all the ringing and swaying.

It's the Walker's Low Catmint Woman is growing. It is certainly hardy in New Hampster.

Oh, that's no fun at all. Mom can empathize an' sympathize as she had a nasty infection in one ear a couple of weeks ago an' felt super dizzy. She had to go to work, though ... standardized testing. I hope that your momma feels better an' that the vertigo goes away quickly. No fun.
