Here are both dad's brothers and all the bikes. Now, before you laugh at dad's scooter, (and remember, mom's a black belt) let me tell you that he gets 50 - 60 mph and mom is not supposed to know that dad can get it up to 70 mph with PlusOne on the back. Dad's older brother was very impressed with how comfy it is, and how peppy it is. He took his wife for a 15 minute drive on it. Dad was wondering if he was coming back.
As for what mom and PlusOne did today, well mom worked on her quilt. She now has a block approximately 92" by 96". Mom has a queen size bed. That is 60" x 80" . She figures that her mattress is 12" thick so she needs it at least 90" across. That is before I sleep on top and make the blankets go up the side, letting in the cold air. Mom hates that. Then she likes it tucked in at the bottom, so she needs it at least 95" long. That is before you put two human bodies in it. Mom may have extra for a lap robe. Then again, she may not.
PlusOne took me out for a walk and ended up at the neighbors where they have a 5 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old son. He brought Lucky over and we were there for several hours. They even fed him dinner. Lucky and I were pooped when he brought us home. Can you tell? The top of the sofa never looked so good to me as when he brought us home.

That looks like the scooter DKM wants... but in red ;0)
Lucky and Roxy, you both look exhausted there on the couch! The scooter looks very cool - a lot of people drive them here in Munich. :)
With regards to running, well our dad is a life-long runner, and enjoys it, besides the fact that he has to do it for work. For our mom, she enjoys it too, and it's a challenge for her, because she is very slow, and has a lot of biomechanical disadvantages. She likes the challenge of training for, and completing, long races, like half-marathons and marathons. She says it's a great feeling of accomplishment. Plus, she has plenty of endurance, but no speed, so she can run for a long time, but just not very fast.
It's also something that she and our dad do together. Although our dad is much faster than our mom (our dad can run a marathon in 3:45, where is takes our mom 5:45) he enjoys running with our mom, so doesn't mind plodding along at her much slower pace. Our mom says she is very lucky. :)
Looks like you all had a fun weekend.Mom says it's good to have a bike get great mileage!
After an afternoon out with PlusOne,I bet you were happy to get home and see your sofa! You and Lucky look quite comfy :)
Have a good Memorial Day!

Riding around on those bikes looks like lots and lots of fun!
Momma and Dad were walking on Alki Beach and they saw a fawn pug that reminded them of YOU!!!!
And boy do you look tired.
I am not sure I want to live with a pug...

Our Mommakitty wants a scooter, but maybe she will first try to motorize her bicycle - we lives on some hills and after momma bikes downtown, then she is to pooped to git da bike back up to our house (she's old!)
Our momma is gonna try to make a rag quilt this summer. She gotted all da fabric at a huge going-out-of-bidness sale - they also have a queen size bed, but it is high. (We think she has bitten off more than she can chew - if ya git our drift - hehehehe!)
Looks like a lovely day for a drive. Although I think motorcycle riding is dangerous....
You two look furry exhausted. I'm always glad that Mom won't let us outside 'cuz that means that she'll NEVER "walk" us an' tire us out. She used to borrow the neighbor's Daschund-Chihuahua for walkies 'til she nearly broke him at the ten mile mark.
You daddy's scooter is a cute one. Mom won't get one even though her "commute" is only one mile ... she claims that her tiny two-seater gets good enough gas mileage to justify driving it (an' she's NOT a morning person, so she'd likely have some kind of catastrophe if she "scooted" to work).
Happy Memorial Day to your fambly! Get some good rest, ladies!

We cannot tell if you two are tired or bored. You almost look like you wanted to go bike riding and are sad that you didn't go. Maybe your dad could get a side car for you to ride in. The bikes look neat and the beach wonderful.
Sending you hugs in memory of Bonnie Underfoot.

That must've been a lot of fun over at the neighbors..what'd they do, run you guys through an agility course or somethin? Or maybe they played frisbee? That's one that gets Sassy the Nose pretty pooped.
