And Now For Other News

Mom tried not to worry about me today. It was hard, but she felt better after reading the great comments left on the blog. I was acting normal, gnawing on her fingers this morning in bed, letting her know I did not want to go out in the cold weather, eating anything that fell near me.

Anyway, the boy was at memere's because mom and dad went to dad's Christmas party. They stayed out real late, and slept real late. That was nice. Mom took me to memere's to pick up the boy. Memere and Pepere told mom that she should talk to Dr. L. (the main vet, who knows and loves me) and not rush into anything. So mom is going to listen to them. She will probably have my blood work done again and then go from there.

In the meantime, the boy wanted to put up the Christmas Tree. So they got busy once they got home. Dad went and watched the guys named Pat romp all over the Steelers. I think Millie's name (Squealers) fits much better, because they must have "squealed" when their guarantee did not pan out. Hee hee.

So here is the tree. And do you notice anything familiar at the bottom? Yup! That's mom Christmas gift from Auntie! She made mom a tree skirt. Isn't it beautiful. Here's a close-up.

Auntie wanted to know what color mom wanted the ruffle, and both mom and dad picked green. It could have been red or gold. Here is another close-up.

Mom is real excited about it. It is so pretty, so of course she had to take tons of pictures. What's this blog about anyway? Me? Or a tree skirt? Sigh. Here's the backing, for all of you who want to see it.

Candy canes. Cool, huh? Yup, it's gorgeous. Auntie made it, what did you expect. You should all ask for one of those for under your tree. Hee hee. Auntie will kill me for saying that, but since I'm a dog, what can she do?

I want to thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts I have been receiving. I am not scared, but I can tell mom is, and your thoughts and comments are helping her a lot. Mom will keep you posted, I promise. I am just going to keep on being me. It's what I'm best at.

Your tree is very beautiful, and so is that tree skirt! :) Millie's mom is very talented. :) I'm glad you are behaving normally, Roxy. I do think your mom should talk with the vet, because you don't want to mess around with your liver. Having your liver function tested again sounds like a good first step. I am purring for you!

That's a very nice tree skirt! We don't have a tree yet, and it's a very little tree.

We heard at Millie's that you weren't feeling well, Roxy so we came over to purr on you a bunch so you'd feel better. We hope the vet can figure out what's wrong and fix it quick!

We had ta come over an look at yer tree - it's lovely. Even if it's fake like ours, ha, ha. What makes yours gorgeous is - it's fuller (ours is a 'slim' tree) .....and the wonderful tree skirt. Aunty sure has talent. oh, yes, and yours has ornaments....ours has only lights, yet (came with lights, how easy is that!)..
