Miserable Day

Lucky here, and I am going to tell you about Roxy's Miserable Day. It started on Wednesday when Roxy ate ONE DOZEN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.

Mom is still trying to figure out how Roxy got them odd the counter, but... you know Roxy. Almost nothing is impossible for her. She did not show any ill affects Wednesday night. And mom still saw nothing wrong with her until after the boy took her out this morning. She came running upstairs and jumped on the bed. Without having her treat. And started licking her mouth. Mom didn't know what she was doing. Until she barfed on the comforter. Twice.

Well, mom yelled at her and got her off the bed and Roxy went over by the ottoman and pooped! Right in front of mom. But what can mom do, I mean, Roxy is in the middle of the act. Ar least the poop was solid. Then Roxy crawled under the bed. Mom cleaned the comforter and got Rox out from under the bed only to have Roxy barf on the carpet. (It's this ugly yellow, white and orange shag from the 70's). So mom cleans that up as Roxy crawls under the bed again.

Mom takes Roxy downstairs and Roxy lies down, not in her bed, but on the cold floor. Mom doesn't want that so she gets a towel and puts Roxy gently on top of it. It lasted five minutes before Roxy barfed on that too.

Mom gets another towel and puts Roxy on it. Here is a picture of my miserable looking sister.

Doesn't she look pathetic? Now, Roxy stays there while mom makes breakfast and feeds the boy. Mom is real worried about leaving Roxy alone while she goes to work. Now, mom knows that Roxy didn't eat enough chocolate to be really sick. Besides, she's already seen Roxy after eating 14 ounces of M & M's. You want to talk about sick. So anyway, as I was saying, mom was worried. But Mom has to go to work. She puts me out to pee while she starts washing all the offending items but I don't think I did, it was too cold. When we came upstairs for me to get my treat, guess who came running over to get one for herself. You guessed it, Roxy.

Mom figured she was feeling better and went to work safe in the knowledge that Roxy would be okay. Besides, I was looking after her.

And when mom came home, what did she find? Other than some barf, diarrhea and pee? She found Roxy back to normal and wanting food. FOOD! FOOD! I tell you.

Roxy is now in mom's lap and I am going to bed with the boy. Roxy's miserable day is over. Thank goodness.

Oh! Roxy! I am so glad you are feeling better! What a good puggy. I love how you can tell they are feeling better right away because they want to eat. :)
Emmitt says he knows how she felt. She knew her tummy didn't feel good, but she did not know what was happening or what to do. Poor baby went under the bed.
I am so glad her miserable day is over. Good job taking care of your sister!

Omigosh! I am sorry Roxy but that is so funny! I am only laughing because I know you are feeling better and that Lucky took good care of you while mom was at work.

And you know what? I know you would eat all those cookies again in a heartbeat if given the chance!

Poor Roxy! That sounds miserable. I am glad you are okay, Roxy, and didn't eat enough chocolate to seriously harm yourself.

So sorry to hear about Roxy's bad day, but there is a price to pay for overindulgence. I doubt she has learned her lesson - LOL!

Oh poor Roxy. I hope you do not eat that many cookies again. It does not sound like you felt good afterwards.

Roxy! Chocolate may be tasty but it is very dangerous. I'm glad you're feeling better, girlfriend!
