Snowy Monday

When mom woke at 5:00 am this morning, dad told her there was two inches of snow on the ground. Great, mom thought. The boy will go to school. When mom got up (not at 5:00 am) school had been cancelled. So mom went out and got the snowblower going and did her driveway, the path for the mailman and part of dad's driveway. Then she got the boy up and after the usual morning stuff, they went off to mom's work.

This is what bosses do at work, the boy told mom. Mom had to laugh. Not quite.

When they got home, since karate was closed due to inclement weather and bad driving conditions, mom made more cookies. Eleven dozen more cookies. The only problem is, the first batch mom thought was too sugary, so she doesn't want to give them to anyone. Dad ate them anyway, so they are probably not that bad, but mom doesn't know what to do.

She still has to make the Vanilla Chip cookies. I do not know if she will be able to do that tomorrow night. She will try, she will have to be really, really organized about it, because the boy has class and so does she. But she will try, because she wants to give the cookies to her teacher to hand out. He likes playing Santa. And he can't hand them out if there are no Vanilla Chip Cookies, because there are several people who want them. Round and round she goes, where she will stop, nobody knows. hee hee

I hope you Mom finds a way to get all her baking done. It's a shame about the first batch turning out too sugary.
