Silly Saturday & Monster Smackdown

Lucky gave me a bath today. Silly sister.

Then fell asleep on my back. It doesn't really look comfy, but you know Lucky.

PlusOne was playing monster smack down with his robo raptor.

Run for your lives! Run! Run!

It's Only A Fabulous Friday If

Your mom DOESN'T catch you on the table (again) after knocking everything off it and onto the floor.

Your mom DOESN'T decide to photograph you and make you suffer ON the table you weren't supposed to be on in the first place.

Your mom DOESN'T crop the top of your head off in the photo. Mom knows she did it, but she loves my expression, so she posted it anyway

Your mom DOESN'T post your transgression on the blogosphere, so EVERYONE can see.

You are Lucky, and lucky, and fall asleep in your boy's arms.

You are totally oblivious to anything and everything. Which Lucky is, cuz she's blonde.
Maybe next Friday will be Fabulous for me.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen things about mom and Auntie's day yesterday.

1) Mom and Auntie spent the day quilt shop hopping. (PlusOne, Mr. Karate and Pepere went skiing.)

2) Mom and Auntie visited four quilt shops.

3) The first one was okay, more of a teaching shop. The second one was nice but not great.

4) The third place was called Short Arm Cafe. It is in Tilton, NH. And it was a BALL! If you are ever in the area, you MUST go there. And EAT!

5) This is Bill. He's the cook. He made a "mulligitani" (??) chicken soup that Auntie said was to die for. (And we all know how great a cook Auntie is, so if she says someone else cooks well, you know they do!) He also made mom a ham and Swiss wrap that mom woofed down in no time flat. Mom said if the cafe was near her work she would be in trouble. Bill is also a musician and a photographer.

6) This is Steven. He runs the quilting side of the cafe. He is very funny. Mom and Auntie showed him their quilts and blogs and basically talked his ear off. (Imagine that.)

7) This is one of the cute bags that's for sale at the Short Arm Cafe. They had others, different sizes, shapes and colors. They were all very cool.

8) This is some of the artwork in the cafe. It is also an Internet cafe. It was just a fabulous place to be. Mom said she would be a regular if it was closer to her.

9) This is some of the fabric at the cafe. Mom and Auntie did a lot of squeeing. (I know, hard to believe, huh?)

10) This was mom's Christmas gift to Auntie. A day of quilt shop hopping.

11) Auntie drove.

12) Auntie paid for lunch.

13) Auntie bought all the fabric, and gave mom some. Check out mom's haul. (the last two rows, hee hee)

I think mom made out like a bandit, don't you?

Tomorrow I will tell you about the fourth quilt shop, PlusOne's ski adventure, and yes, Lucky did shift positions and nearly fell off the sofa. Mom caught her. Great save, mom!

Sloth, Part Two

Actually, mom wasn't a total sloth today. She did laundry, cleaned up one of her work benches, snow blowed dad's driveway, shoveled her driveway and made sugar cookies and dinner. Then did the dishes. Lucky and I still count this as a "relaxing" day, because we did sit on mom for a good part of it.

Sloth

How we spent most of the day.

Sloth. Yup, it was great!

Just Relaxing

PlusOne and Mom are on vacation this week. Dad is not, but that's okay, because it's not summer. So mom and PlusOne are going to relax, clean the house (ha ha), mom is going to get an hour long massage, and then mom and auntie will hit the quilt shops will PlusOne is skiing with pepere.

One of the things mom, dad and PlusOne like to do, is watch Top Gear. If you have never watched it, it is a British car show with three hysterically funny co-hosters. The latest episode mom, dad, PlusOne and Mr. Karate watched, was the three of them trying to drive 18 wheelers. Now, none of them have ever done that before. Well, let's just say that the four of them were laughing so hard they were crying. Mom was having a hard time breathing she was laughing so hard, and they all agree it was one of the funniest things they have ever seen.

Mom is going to try and embed the video. She is not sure if it will work. If it doesn't here is the link. If you want a good laugh, watch it.

Wow, I think it worked. Proof you can train and old bean with new tricks.

Thinking of Spring

We've had two days of snow, rain and snow. We are supposed to get more snow on Sunday. I want to know when spring is coming?

Fabulous Friday

Today is a great day. And chiropractor's are great as well! Mom slipped and fell on the ice Tuesday night. She landed on her right butt and elbow. She didn't feel too bad, just mad she fell. Wednesday, she didn't know what she did, but all of a sudden her right shoulder was killing her. When she went home, she had a lump on top of her shoulder. And the lump hurt if you pressed it.
Thursday mom called her chiropractor and got an appointment. Now, one of her co-workers told her she tore her rotator cuff and another asked if she separated her shoulder. Mom didn't know what was up, but she knew she felt like something was pressing on the right side of her chest.
She told the chiropractor what happened and after her exam he told her the good news. She had a rib out of place, and she displaced her clavicle (collarbone). And her back was out. It turns out that when mom fell, everything shifted up, making the lump on the top of her shoulder. After a massage and a few good cracks (sort of like the snap of Legos when they fit into place) mom is almost as good as new. The bad news, no karate until Tuesday. Mom will have to miss two classes.
:(

This reminds mom of me. So she posted it.

Thursday Thirteen, Give Or Take

I received this award from Angus.

The "rules" for this award and meme are as follows:"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows who he or she is. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including ones who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on! "

Ten "honest" things, huh? I am nothing if not honest.

1) I love broccoli, green beans, wheat thins, cheese curls, cheese...

2) I love sleeping under the blankets with mom, but when I initially get into bed, I curl up with dad.

3) I love rolling around ON the clean laundry, only clean laundry.

4) I will eat anything that is edible and many things that are not. (pencils, pens, kleenex, beads.)

5) I will "sit" on command, but I won't "lie down", "stay" or "fetch".

6) I get on the table even when the chairs are pushed in, no one knows how, and I am not telling.

7) I bark at Auntie, Mr. Karate and memere as soon as they walk into the house. I do stop. Eventually.

8) I am not always good about where I do my business. Last night I left my poop on the landing. Mom found it when she was going downstairs. She didn't step in it.

9) I do love Lucky, but I am not adverse to stealing her treats if I can.

10) I like to sit on Auntie's lap. Right after I bark at her. hahahaha

So, for the seven blogs I want to give this to:

1) Madison

2) Harry Pugalicious

3) Monty Q.

4) Castle Diva

5) Chey's Place

6) The Meezers & Billy Sweetfeet

7) Team Tabby

Working For The Man

I am working for Eduardo again this week. I bet you can't guess what I am doing.

I know you think I am cuddling with dad, but in reality, I am using my psychic powers to get mom to come to bed earlier at night. She thinks she is catching the cold that everyone and their brother has. The one that lasts over two weeks. To help stay healthy, mom needs to go to bed earlier than she has been.

Tell me honestly, does that photo make you want to got to bed and curl up with me?

Sunday Gymnastics

Dad, Lucky and I stayed home and relaxed yesterday while mom went to a gymnastics meet.

Mom's best friend, Blondie, has four children. The eldest, has been in gymnastics since he was 4 years old. He is going away to college in September, and is trying to get into a Division I gymnastics school, either Stanford or Penn State. Blondie dragged mom off to watch him compete. Mom took videos of him, because Blondie's camera doesn't do videos.

Mr. Gymnast received a 14.0 out of 15.o in the rings. Mom was very impressed. He placed first overall in his group. Here he is with the trophy his team won. His eventual goal is the Olympics.

Maybe one day we will see him there. Wouldn't that be cool?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Lucky needs to relax today. Mom took her to the VET yesterday. They weighed her (12.1 pounds), they checked her eyes, ears and teeth. And then they stole blood from my poor, defenseless sister. She fought valiantly, but in the end, she was defeated by the vet technician AND the vet. Mom helped, giving Lucky a treat to calm her down, but still!
And after they stole her blood, they gave her a shot! My poor sister was stuck! With a ginormous needle! Mom gave her lots of treats after, but my poor Lucky was traumatized! Is still traumatized. What a way to spend Valentine's Day!

So dad and I are protecting her from anything and everything. And mom is giving her lots of treats. I am even getting extra treats, and food. Mom had me weighed, and I only weigh 16.5 pounds. The vet says I am perfect (of course I am) but mom thinks I am looking a little too thin. So she wants me to gain a pound. I'm not complaining. More food for me! Yee haw!

Finally Friday

It's Friday. Mom is really glad about that. She has two awards, but they both require thinking, and her brain is turned off for the night, therefore, the posting of them will have to wait. I hope mom doesn't think she can get away without posting our Valentine's Day cards for our two special men.

In the meantime, it's windy and rainy, so we are gonna go hide under the blankets. Bye.
