Yesterday I lost a friend to GME Encephalitis. Her name was Payton and she was an awesome pug. I taught her how to get into treats and she taught me how to be brave and fight the big fight. She was only nine years old. I am very sorry to see her go to the Bridge but I know she will never be in pain again. And one day her beloved parents will join her and she will be truly happy again.

Anniversary And Par-tay

In other news, yesterday was in the 80's and today is supposed to be around 85 degrees!
All our blogger buddies have come over to share in our sunshine a PAR-TAY in the backyard. Luckily for us, there is NO photographic evidence, as mom was at work when all this happened. So no one knows whether it was Payton, Titus, Benny or Lily (or all of them) chased the c-a-t up the fence and out of the backyard. As for me, I'll never tell.

Mom Needs A Plan
Mom's been feeling a little unfocused lately and with her testing for 3rd Degree coming up in August, she can't have that. So starting this weekend she is going to get her butt in gear and start focusing on what needs to get done (more blogging, sewing, cleaning, working out) and get it done. Mom said I can be her task master. Woo Hoo!!

Mom Firgured Her Kindle Out
Lucky said mom should have read the destructions, I mean instructions, lol. (Like Lucky is doing here)
But what mom really wanted to know was did you need the "wireless whispernet" to borrow books from Amazon. And apparently you do. The good news is that mom found the wireless network (nicknamed "Sparky" by Dad) and she is now all set. She does have to finish reading the book she has now, though, before she can borrow anything new.

Tattle Tale Tuesday
Today's Tattle Tale is a harsh truth.
I just don't sit on anybody. I don't lie down on just anybody, either. So mom and PlusOne were very surprised when I sat on Nana's lap and then laid down. Mom had to get photographic evidence of it. Here it is. Enjoy it. It may never happen again.

MOM IS BACK
YIPPIEEE!!!! MOMISBACK!MOMISBACK!MOMISBACK!MOMISBACK!MOMISBACK!
Mom is back and I am not letting her leave me AGAIN. Dad told mom that I wouldn't go under the covers, that I kept looking for her and that I went back and forth between his bed and PlusOne's bed. Mom told dad that she didn't sleep well because she missed me (and him) and that it was a twin bed (she's used to a queen) and she was cold (well, I wasn't there to warm up her backside.) She also said she had a lot of fun, but she's tired (I'm EXHAUSTED) and she'll tell you all about it later.

Mom Was KIDNAPPED
This is Blondie, mom's BFF of 32 years (in June).
Blondie kidnapped mom Friday and isn't bringing her back until today. She took her to a Zentangled weekend. This is the sort of thing they do at Zantangled.
They are going to Ogunquit, Maine. It is a beautiful coastal town in Maine. (It may be cold, but mom loves falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.) There is a spa, hot tub, and masseuse. (Mom would love a massage.) But the object of the game is to relax and be creative.
We'll see how that works. We all know it's hard for mom to relax at times. And we all know that mom is a regular at the Karate Studio on Saturdays. Whatever is she going to do with no karate Saturday. lol
If we don't post again, it's because Dad and PlusOne forgot to feed us, take us out, (or let us back in) or some other such thing. I hope mom comes home SOON!

%$$#%@ Kindle Instructions
For Christmas, Memere bought mom a Kindle. (Mom is 2nd from the right with a pretty black pug on her lap.) Mom likes it. It is fun. Mom still likes books, and the feel and heft of a book in her hand, but the Kindle is nice.Until mom tried to "read a book for free" from Amazon. Mom is a Prime Member. She should be able to borrow books and read them for free. Except mom can't find any decent instructions on how to do this. The book she wanted clearly said $0.00 for Prime Members, but mom still got charged for the book. (Yes, I know it was only $2.99, but still!) Mom thinks they could make the instructions a LITTLE EASIER to FIND and UNDERSTAND.
PS I ate dinner and am back to my normal self.
