Imposing

Memere is afraid of "imposing" on mom and dad, since they have no power and must stay with us.

Does this look like pepere is imposing on us? More like we are posing on him.

This is our neighbor's tree.

Luckily they have a big backyard. The tree came within a foot of the neighbor's house. That's what you call a close call.

Rainy Friday

330,000 people have no power. Memere is one of them. She will be coming over later because we don't know when her power will be restored. 50 streets are closed with downed power lines and the cities of Salem and Windham have absolutely NO power. We do, and boy is mom happy about that.

Thursday Three

1) As you can see here, Tubby, I mean Lucky wasn't sitting on me.

2) Memere and PlusOne do not like me calling Lucky Tubby.

3) Dr. Lovesmealot never said Lucky was fat. He actually never said anything about her weight. Mom just thinks Lucky should lose 1 pound or so for her continued health and well being. (And I just like being a brat.)

Tubby Tuesday

This is my sister Tubby. I am going to start calling her that, since she now weighs a whopping 14.8 pounds. She should lose a pound or two, but other than that, she's healthy. Now, Dr. Lovesmealot says that my weight looks fine. Granted, they didn't weigh me, but it wasn't my turn after all, it was Tubby's. Tubby. Hahahahaha I am going to have so much fun with this.

The V-E-T

Lucky's trying to pretend she's asleep so mom won't take her to the V-E-T today. She is going to get poked and prodded an have her blood stolen and bum checked out and I don't care because it's not me! Ha Ha Ha!

Poor thing. But you know what the worst part is? PlusOne will give her all sorts of treats and cuddles because of it. And I won't get any. Talk about no fair!

Dogsitting Bailey

This is Bailey. Her boy is one one of PlusOne's friends. Her family went away for an overnight and they didn't want to put her in a kennel. Since she knows PlusOne (and Lucky and me) they thought maybe Bailey could stay with us.

Mom said of course, because she didn't want Bailey in a kennel, or alone at home until PlusOne went over to let her out and feed her. Mom thought that would be mean. So Bailey is staying with us and we are enjoying her. I am especially enjoying watching Lucky chase her around the living room. Yes, LUCKY is chasing her. I didn't think my sister ever chased anything but a treat.

Test Number Two

This morning is PlusOne's second test for Second Degree Black Belt. He knows his material and can run and do sit-ups easily. His difficulty is his push-ups. However, mom and Mr. Karate have been working really hard with him to do better push-ups. He's been doing mom's shoulder exercises and working with weights, as well as attempting pull ups, so we're in optimistic mode.

We'll find out how he did next Saturday.

After cello, the family is going to see Percy Jackson & The Olympians. PlusOne loves the books and has re-read them several times. He is looking forward to the movie, so mom hopes it's good.

Fabulous Friday

It was 46 degrees F here yesterday. Nice and sunny and the snow was melting lickety split.

But that's not the reason today is a fabulous day. The real reason is that mom will be on vacation at 4:16 pm! For one whole week. Lots of sleeping late, pug snuggles, pug pets and broccoli! Yippie!

True Love Thursday

This is a True Love Thursday Tale. It didn't stop snowing til Tuesday night, so dad woke up extra early yesterday morning (3:00 am instead of 4:00 am) and shoveled mom's driveway. When mom went outside to look at her drive this morning, and saw that it had already been done, she smiled.

Here's my dad with me as a little puppy. He sure is the best dad.

He gives me snacks even when mom tells him not to.

Here I am waiting for more broccoli. Mom's cooked it for her snack at work and she lets me have a few pieces, (like she did last night) but I always want more.

I could never get enough broccoli. That's my true love for sure.

Tattle Tale Tuesday

You know your mom is tired when she pours the granola she was going to eat into the glass and not the bowl. Luckily, she hadn't poured her milk yet.

And for all of you "southerners" out there, yes, we may actually get a few inches of snow today. Mom doubts it, because she got the snow blower back from being fixed. And Murphy's law states that you only get a ton of snow when your snow blower is broken.

:)

What Are You Looking At?

Of course real pugs cuddle with their mom. And besides, it was Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day

PlusOne's true love. No girl could ever be cute enough to compete with my sister. As for my true love, well, that would have to be... you guessed, broccoli.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Thursday Practice

PlusOne got a new cello at the end of January. It is a nicer cello, not a student grade model/rental cello. It comes in it's own hard case with wheels, back straps and handles. Mr. Karate has the same model cello as well. The only difference is that his case is silver and PlusOne's is charcoal.

Here are the two of them practicing some of PlusOne's school music.

Hope you enjoyed the practice session.

My Special Treat

Dad and PlusOne bought the greatest treats for Lucky and me yesterday. Unfortunately, when PlusOne gave it to me, he ripped the tag of, so mom doesn't know what it is. But she can tell I like it. A LOT!

Mondays

Mondays just come too darn fast for my liking. I want more time at home with mom! I think Mondays should be Thursdays so then we can have Monday and Friday right next to each other and every other day is the weekend! What do you think?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

When I am not lying in a sunspot (it's been very sunny lately, just really cold) I keep myself cozy by lying on dad's blankie in dad's recliner. Now, if only dad would het in here with me and cover us BOTH up.

Cold

Dad says he is very happy that you don't have to shovel cold!

Where Is Our Snow Going?

Powerhouse snowstorm to wallop the East

A major winter storm will strike the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic through Saturday. Over two feet of snow may fall.

By the time the storm ends, many areas in northern Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania will have over a foot of snow. Some places may end up with over two feet of snow from this storm.

You know, I think there is something wrong with this picture. We're in New England. WE are supposed to get the snow and sleet and nasty weather. Instead, it's going down south. And you know what? I don't mind at all. Sorry all you Southern (well, south of us anyway) bloggers. I think you may be in for a nasty weekend.

Anyone want to teleport over and enjoy the weekend with me is more than welcome. :)

Thursday Three (or Four)

One of the women mom led to black belt made this for mom. She said that she doesn't quilt, but she does do this. Mom is going to hang it in her sewing room. She thinks it is very pretty.

The last two are some blocks mom is making for the "family" lap robe. This is the one that has to be at least 5 feet long and 7' wide. Mom is feeling pretty happy with it so far.

TattleTale Tuesday

PlusOne brought his report card home yesterday.

He had five A's and two B +'s. He went from a C+ to a B+ in Science, a B+ to an A in Language Arts, and a B to an A in Social Studies. He did go down to a B+ from an A in Spanish, but mom really doesn't mind. She thinks he did great. He's on the Prinicpal's List and he had great comments about behaving very well in class.

Mom likes report cards like this.

Dad had the creepy crawly cruds, so Lucky and I had to keep him company all day yesterday. He enjoyed our support. Mom is SO praying she doesn't get it, AGAIN!

Real Dog Owners....

Don't leave their pets outside in 2 degree F weather, chained to a tree. Mom saw that twice this weekend and boy was steam coming out of her ears when she did. I'm glad my mom loves me so much that she would never do that to me.
