Just Pug Stuff

Several years ago (or maybe more) mom found this website and bought this really cool sticker and tee shirt. Then the website disappeared. Well guess what?

They're back! And here is the website! Apparently Joe, the owner had some hard times but now realizes that pug stuff keeps him sane. (Just like we all figured out.) So go check out his website and see if there's anything you might be interested in. He also does:
  • Pug Rescue of the Month Program
  • Pug Rescue Affiliates Program
  • Pug Rescue Member Discount

Some of you may already have found this website, but mom wanted to share with everyone else. I mean, come on, you can never have enough pug stuff, right?

Thursday Sillies

Get a load of this Christmas card mom and dad received!

The inside says "Santa, you gotta love him." All I can say is... No, I DON'T!

If You Think

we're going out in that, then you are sadly mistaken!

The screen door is a full step above the landing. Mom figures we got over 14" easy. Luckily for Lucky and me, mom didn't take any photos of us doing our business, like Wilma's mom did! And since mom didn't have to go to work, it was a relaxing day for all. Well, except for when mom showed PlusOne how to snow blow the driveway. Mom said the wind was wicked and as soon as she came back in, she dived under the blanket with PlusOne, Lucky and me and watched Avatar.

According To Dad

Mom is not allowed to shovel snow or use the snow blower. All mom can do is show PlusOne how to use the snow blower. That's it. Dad has spoken and PlusOne is obeying. Sheesh, mom's gonna go nuts if she can't have the driveway cleared for dad.

This is what the driveway looked like the last time we had a foot or so of snow, back when mom had the "pugs who came before", Muffie & Bridget. They wouldn't set foot in the backyard to do their business so mom brought them out to the garage to take care of things. I certainly hope she does the same with Lucky and me!

Oh The Weather Outside Is Frightful

Snow-deprived Granite Staters won't need to wait much longer if a blizzard predicted to whack a large chunk of the state -- including Concord and Portsmouth -- with blinding snow and more than a foot of accumulation comes to fruition starting Sunday. Manchester could see blizzard-like conditions and 12 to 18 inches of snow.

Mom sure is glad she doesn't have to go anywhere Monday. I hope she realizes that neither Lucky or I are going anywhere either. And that includes going outside in 12" - 18" of snow to do ANY sort of business!

Snow!

Yup, that's right, we're having snow! Mom doesn't care. She starts her vacation at 4:16pm today. She will be off until the 3rd of January. Woo Hooooooooo!

Blondie's Quilt

Mom's friend Blondie made this quilt for her son. Isn't it gorgeous?

She showed him the fabrics before hand and told him than some of the fabrics were "donated" by mom.

He told her he knew that already. How, she asked. Well, that one and that one and that one are all "wild and crazy" like mom. Isn't that funny?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

The Christmas tree is going up. Yippie! PlusOne is decorating it. I bet that's going to be interesting.

Super Saturday

Why is it super, you ask? Because it's nice and warm in our house, mom, dad and PlusOne love us, and Christmas is coming. Oh yeah, mom is going to watch two of her students test for their candidate belt today. She has taught them since they were white belts, about three years ago. Isn't that neat?

Guess What Mom Did Last Night!

She went to karate. That's right she did. I know what you're thinking " she did WHAT?" She went to karate, but she didn't TAKE karate. She brought PlusOne and watched from the sidelines. Her instructor told her that if she had tried to take class he would have brought her over to the chairs and sat her down in one. LOL.

Mom may be stubborn, but she isn't stupid. She knows she can't do karate yet. But just going, and being there she said made her feel better. Her instructor also told her to relax and let people wait on her. I can tell you this, THAT'S not going to happen.

Have a great day!

Tattle Tale Thursday

See that thing behind PlusOne? That big green thing? You know, the Christmas tree? Well, ours isn't up yet. Auntie's is half up, but not ours. On account of mom's surgery. I think mom better get on the stick, don't you? I mean seriously, where is she going to put my gifts?

TattleTale Tuesday

Let me tattle about my mom. She is bored out of her skull sitting on the sofa, doing nothing. You think watching TV and relaxing Friday, Saturday and Sunday after her operation would be a great thing, right? Not my mom. She is complaining that she won't be doing any karate until January (mind you, she can barely hobble around the house without her crutches) that she is sick of TV (hmm, can't argue with that one), that dad doesn't want her to drive (hey, don't blame me if dad's overprotective) and that I keep stepping on her knee (who ME?).

I think mom should just suck it up and relax. Let people drive her to and from work, understand that she can't walk well, much less do karate and learn that I am doing her physical therapy on her knee by stepping on it. What do you think?

A Day With Auntie

Mom left Lucky and I at home and spent the afternoon parked on Auntie's sofa, watching a movie with Auntie, being fed Auntie's delicious potato bread and yummy pasta dish. Sounds like a rough life, huh?

This is how we keep mom immobile.

It's a win win situation for everyone.

Serious Saturday

Mom had arthroscopic surgery on her right knee yesterday. The doctor cleaned out some yukky cartilage under the knee cap and also did a lateral release (freeing up the tendon so it doesn't pull the knee cap off track (any more). That should make it much less painful.

Lucky and I are on after care duty, keeping mom pinned to the sofa, without stepping on her leg. (Dad is going to have to do laundry, since it's in the cellar. Mom thinks that's sort of funny.) But anyway, Lucky and I are taking our job very seriously. All I can say is that we better get lots of treats for this.

Fabulous Friday

What a goofball!

PlusOne was the only cellist to go to practice every morning at 7:15 am this week. He was also the only cellist capable of playing the part (these are the sixth graders, PlusOne is an eighth grader) so PlusOne got to play it solo! The entire family was very impressed!

Orchestra

Tonight is PlusOne's school orchestra concert. Mom went and bought him new pants, so hopefully there will be no high waters. She is also going to make sure he wears black socks. Remember this?
You gotta love my mom! lol

It's That Time Again

We had snow flurries this morning. You know what that means.

That means that real snow is not far behind. Pretty soon Lucky and I will be tossed out into the cold, white stuff. Our feet will freeze, our behinds will freeze and when we get back inside the house, we'll dive under the blankets and won't come out for ANYTHING!

The Herd

Mom and dad put the herd put yesterday. I know what you're thinking. The herd? Herd of WHAT.

Why, reindeer of course. This guy didn't make it out because mom had to fix him. If one little light is out then parts of him don't work. But mom figured it out. (After she gave herself a mild shock, lol.)
Here's the herd. Actually, mom and dad had two more, but they gave him to the neighbors because Neighborboy really, really wanted a reindeer and mom and dad figured eight was enough.

PlusOne was worried about the ratio of bucks to does. I am not going to tell you why, you know PlusOne. You figure it out.

Mom tried to give the lead reindeer a red nose, but then he wouldn't light up. Sigh. Nice try mom.

PlusOne wants this guy to go by the sled. Mom thinks he's too big for the sled, but I am sure he'll find a spot, after mom gets ANOTHER extension cord. lol

Easy Like Sunday Morning

It was sunny today, so Lucky and I enjoyed it. From the inside, of course. It was also cold and windy. I expect to see the Christmas Tree today.

Typical Weekend

Mom is really glad it's the weekend, after her nutty week at work. It's not like she's doing anything special, (karate, cello, making English Muffin Bread, working on a quilt, maybe putting the Christmas lights and tree up, cleaning out some more of the cellar) but that stuff seems to make her happy. Now, more broccoli and green beans would make me happy, but cleaning?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am so glad I am a pug. Mom's life just makes no sense to me!

Finally Friday

Mom has had a rough week at work, so it's time to cuddle real close with her and

look really, really adorable.

I think I passed on both counts, don't you?

Not So Small Anymore

PlusOne and Blondie. She was taller than him at her wedding in July. Now look at him. He eats almost as much as I try to. But at least he doesn't try to eat my broccoli!
