Clingy

Someone is VERY clingy lately. Mom goes to her computer to work on the checkbook and SOMEONE wants to be in her lap. Mind you, it's hard to enter stuff in the computer when SOMEONE is sitting with her head tucked into Mom's elbow. 

The other day she was actually whining/howling when Mom left the house.

Monday is going to be SO painful.

Mom's vacation was 2 hours old when work called her. I wonder how many times they'll call between now and the 2nd of January.

Back To Work

Mom has gone back to work for the next two and a half days, leaving us with PlusOne. I wonder how late we can sleep with him?

I'm thinking pretty late. lol

Sunday Fun

Mom and PlusOne are going snow biking today. Trust me, if Mom could pull out an outfit like The Beatles, she would certainly do it. lol

Lucky and I are staying at home, where we will be nice and warm!

Movies Mom Wants To See

Mom has NO desire to see Patriot's Day. Been there, done that, don't need to see it. Marky Mark can say all he wants that he felt he had to do it to get it right because he's from Boston, but Mom wants nothing to do with it.

Sleeping Late

I'll get out of bed when Mom does, and not a moment sooner! Since she doesn't have to go to work today, we'll see what time that is.

Da Vinci

Part of the Da Vinci exhibit was about a Parisian Engineer (Pascal Cotte) revealed secrets about the Mona Lisa. 

It was truly fascinating. But what was the MOST amazing (to Mom and Memere) was what the ORIGINAL colors of the Mona Lisa was when it was first painted.

You can see the difference below.

The sky and mountains were blue and her sleeves were a beautiful rich gold color. Mom would LOVE a poster of that!

They had other paintings and drawings there that were so fabulous Mom and Memere just stared at them, taking them all in.

The rest of the exhibit was fascinating as well. Leonardo invented a parachute (that worked) a scuba suit (that worked) the life preserver, he had ideas for a helicopter, tank and combat bridges. Da Vinci was always curious and always trying to figure out things and make them better. 

It was an awesome exhibit and if it comes to your area, you should definitely go see it.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Because Sunday night into Monday is going to be ANYTHING but easy!

It's been VERY cold here, so we are snuggling up with Mom in a really BIG way.

Of course, the weather guessers said that all snow totals are subject to change so you KNOW where Lucky and I will be...

Da Vinci!

Mom and Memere are going to the Da Vinci exhibit at the Museum of Science today.  It supposedly is "the most comprehensive exhibition on the Renaissance master to tour the world!"

 Memere is very excited to be spending a day with Mom. They may even see an Omni movie. I am sure they are going to come back with lots of exciting things to talk about.

If I know Mom, she's going to come back with a cool Tee shirt.

Long Weekend

Mom has so much vacation time (that she's been too busy to take) that she has today and tomorrow off. Next week she works 1/2 Wednesday then has Thursday and Friday off. The same with the week after that. She is off the entire week of Christmas.

I think going back to work in January is going to be very painful for her.

And me too.

This is the Oh MAN!!!! part of today. Winter is really coming.

ANd this is the "OH Man!" part of today. Three feet of snow in Hawaii (higher elevations, I know) but STILL!

Now I know it's the end of the world. lol

It's COLD

So Lucky and I are enjoying being warm and cozy while Dad goes grocery shopping before the football game. W elike it when Dad watches the football game because then we can snuggle up to him and he keeps us VERY warm.

Mom Is Funny

Say Mom has a pile of paperwork that needs to get taken care of. She sits on the floor and makes piles. Then she deals with one pile at a time.

Funny thing, though, if I try to walk over and be near her, she yells at me to get off her piles.

Seriously, Mom, if you don't want me to walk on them, then don't put them on the floor!

Remembering

When Lucky actually got more green beans than me!

And made everyone laugh in the bargain.

Definitely Mom's Son

Mom made Memere's stuffing for Thanksgiving this year. It is a meat stuffing and Mom LOVES it. She sometimes eats it without the turkey. 

Turns out PlusOne really IS Mom's son through and through. They hadn't even left for Massachusetts and the family before PlusOne was eating a bowl of stuffing.

I guess the apple really DOESN'T fall far from the tree.
