When PlusOne Is Away

Lucky ends up sleeping with Mom, Dad and me! Dad says Lucky is a 12 pound DEAD WEIGHT when she sleeps with us. Mom just laughs, because she knows it's true. As to where PlusOne is, he's down in Massachusetts with his Grandpa and Nana. He is going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls today, whatever they are. I can't imagine they are very interesting, but I could be wrong. Not that I ever have been before. lol

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday, it's going to be a three day weekend for mom and dad and it was chilly today. I guess summer is ending. Bummer. Except for the three day weekend. I like that part.

Growing Things

Mom's first ever green pepper! It's small.

Mom is 51 years old today. Can you believe it? We can't, lol. Happy Birthday, mom! We love you a whole lot. (Even if you don't give me as many treats as dad does.)

Can you believe that mom forgot my blogoversary yesterday? Seriously, can you believe it? Thank goodness my lovely friends remembered it. I would say that mom wants thank everyone for their kind thoughts, but I think she's embarrassed because she missed my BLOGOVERSARY!

Mellowing Out

PlusOne thinks I am getting mellow in my old age (ha!)

Mom doesn't think so, because she caught me trying to eat the dog food out of the tin again. I only do this when mom fills it up, like she did this week. lol

Easy Like Sunday Morning

After all that fresh air on the top of Mount Washington Friday, mom crashed and burned and took a 2 hour nap in the middle of the afternoon. I joined her. It was nice snuggling with her in the day time. She learned her lesson and went to bed early last night. More cuddling time! Woo hoo. Hope we do the same today!

Road Trip

The family left us to go to Mount Washington yesterday, home of the "Worst Weather in the World" and the Highest Recorded Winds of 231 mph.

It was 65 degrees F at the base of the mountain and 49 degrees F at the top of the mountain. Now that I think about it, I am glad mom and dad left us at home. It was very nice in our dog bed.

Sherlock!

Mom has been trying to get some way to watch Sherlock for quite a while now. It wasn't On Demand, or Online. She was really bumming. Until Amazon reminded her that she had FREE and UNLIMITED videos with Amazon Prime. So she looked up Sherlock. She couldn't find it. She looked again. And again. And found it! Within three minutes PlusOne was hooked, Lucky was on mom's lap and I am enjoying the show. Now for Episode 2!

Lucky is ten years old today. Happy Birthday, Lucky. And while I may groan about you being "blonde" and hogging the bed when PlusOne is gone, I really couldn't ask for a better sister. I love you!

Mom was so excited to cook an egg in her new pan the other night. Unfortunately for her, when PlusOne saw how cute it was, he claimed it, complete with portion bitten off.

Mom had to make him another before she got to eat one for herself. I wonder when she'll make one for me? Probably never.

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is Dad's birthday. Here he is being typically dad-like. PlusOne  gets his sense of humor from Dad (thank goodness).Lucky and I want to tell everyone how much we love Dad and how glad we are he's our Dad (especially since he is a LOT less stingy than mom when it comes to giving us food).

Mom Is Weird

One of the major supermarket chains decided to close all their stores in New Hampshire this week. It is not the grocery store mom and dad usually shop at (the jar of yeast was $3.00 more than mom usually pays). So they decided to have 50% off EVERYTHING. The place was a zoo and the shelves were almost bare but mom and dad got a few things (actually they bough over $250.00 worth of groceries for $137.00) and one of the things mom bought was this little pan to make fried eggs in. Mom can't wait to try it out. I tell you, she's WEIRD. A pan just for one egg! Now I won't get any egg from her. :(

Perfect Snuggling Weather

Well, almost. It rained all day, but it was really humid, so snuggling wasn't such a good idea. Until mom came home from work and turned the air conditioning on. Then snuggling was great! I hope it doesn't rain today.

A long time ago Mom and PlusOne went to an outside museum to see these fabulous wood animals. This one was one of mom's favorites. She wishes she had it in her backyard. I think it is fine in photo form. Don't you?

Beautiful Weather

We have been having some beautiful weather lately, Not too hot, no humidity and quite chilly in the morning and later in the evening. Of course it will have to end, but until it does, I am going to keep enjoying it! Big time!
