She's ALIVE!!!

Three nights of going to bed WICKED early (7:30 pm anyone?) and mom is starting to recover. She says she feels almost alive!!! Just to be sure, I am going to keep her immobile tonight. We want her all better for the weekend! lol

Mom Is Sick

Mom started with another sore throat and cold on Sunday. It got worse on Monday. Tuesday she actually got someone else to cover her classes at Karate and went to bed at 7:30 pm!!! Last night, she called in sick to the Karate Leadership Meeting (something she has NEVER done once in 10 years!!!) and went to bed at 8:00 pm. Luckily all she has tonight is PlusOne's cello lesson at 5:00 pm and nothing tomorrow night. I foresee some early nights ahead, and lots of snuggling for me!

Tattle Tale Tuesday

Mom is fighting a cold and sore throat and after staying up WAY too late Sunday night watching Sherlock it isn't surprising that she doesn't really have an ideas what to blog about. Luckily, I have plenty of ammunition, uh, I mean interesting tidbits of family life to keep everyone entertained. I just have to wait for mom to go to bed before I can start dishing on her, heh heh heh. Let the games begin.

Can't Eat Just One

Many years ago there was a potato chip ad that said "You Can't Eat Just One." Well, that's how mom felt last night while watching Sherlock. The (stupid) powers that be scheduled Sherlock from 10:00 pm to 11:30 pm, on a Sunday night no less. So the plan was that mom and PlusOne would watch the first half hour. But as with those potato chips, mom and PlusOne couldn't pull themselves away and they stayed up much too late watching an absolutely fabulously hysterical and awesome Sherlock Episode. Before going to bed PlusOne moaned "Why is there only THREE episodes per season!" Why, indeed.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Ah, the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. Cuddled together.

Mom went to the vet yesterday to get a refill on Lucky's medicine and saw two of the FATTEST pugs EVER! They must have been 35 to 40 pounds. And they couldn't walk well at all! I am so glad mom keeps me fit and trim (despite my tendency to eat anything not strapped down). I am healthier for it, and I thank her for loving me so much, even if I think one more treat won't hurt!

Dad, would you please go to bed? It's much warmer in bed than here in the living room. And while I love your chest, bed is much more comfy. ~ Lucky

Thankful Thursday

I am very thankful that I don't have to live out in this 24/7, that I have a nice warm house with a loving Mom, Dad and PlusOne. Many furry friends don't and that makes me sad. I wish there was someone to love and care for every furry friend out there.

Tattle Tale Tuesday

You all remember how much mom was looking forward to Sherlock? Well, PBS decided it would be on at 10:00 pm. PlusOne's dance ended at 10:00 pm. So mom was there at 10:00 pm. Then she had to wait while PlusOne got the coats (there was quite a line for coats.) Then PlusOne decided he was hungry. Off to McDonalds. Well, everyone else decided to go to McDonald's as well. And they were minimally staffed, because they didn't know there was a dance. Then they had to drive the friend home, then the girlfriend and by the time mom got home, It was 11:15pm. So she was able to watch the last 15 minutes of Sherlock.

It's a good thing it is On Demand, that's all I gotta say!

What with the (somewhat) warmer weather, we knew we would get hit with snow, but it doesn't mean we have to LIKE it!!!

For Once

For once mom is exceptionally happy it is Friday. You know how there are some people for whom the rules never apply? Well mom's been dealing with one of them for the last few days and she's tired of it. The good news is this person is not at mom's location. The bad news is she still has to deal with the mess that comes from someone refusing to follow the rules. I wonder if mom would be mad if I went and shredded all the kleenex in this person's house?

Playing Nurse

PlusOne caught the nasty stomach bug that has been going around. He spent a bit of time breaking the laws of physics (what goes down should NOT come back up). Lucky and I kept him company as he spent most of yesterday in MOM'S bed sleeping. PlusOne said mom's bed was "warmer" than his. Mom thinks it it's just a sick child thing. She changed the sheets when she pried him out of bed at 9:00 pm to get into his own bed.

Tattle Tale Tuesday

PlusOne FINALLY watched the cliff hanger Season Two ending of Sherlock. His most pressing question "How did he do it?" was destined to be unanswered until Sunday but PlusOne was not to be denied. He found the first episode of Season Three on the internet and forced mom to watch it (no, really, he did, he tied her up and made her sit there and watch it. Though to be honest, I don't think she argued very much. lol) .

Back To School

SIgh. I really dislike Mondays. That's the day PlusOne has to go back to school and Mom and Dad have to go back to work. Leaving me alone with Roxy. She's my sister and I love her, but I love my boy better. ~ Lucky

Happiness Is

Snuggling with your sister. It's easy to be happy especially when you are a pug!

Rainy But Warm

Yup, it's supposed to be yukky rainy today, but it's also supposed to be in the 50's. I can deal with that. So can everyone else here.

Mom Is Happy

I don't know why mom is happy. I just know she is. Maybe it's because everything is nice and calm right now and there's no angst or existential drama to deal with. No one here is stuck on a cliff, (STILL) and everyone has a nice warm spot to be and good food to eat. You know, now that you mention it, I think I am happy too. Yup, I am. :)

Thoughtful Thursday

Well, I have decided that I live a VERY boring life. Other than a solar flare hitting earth and maybe seeing an aurora borealis, nothing much happens to me. As opposed to Puglet! who went sliding down a cliff and is in the process of being rescued! I think if that were me my mom would KILL me after I got rescued!!!

Yup, I lead a very boring life. sigh

Happy Mom

Mom is very happy. Justified comes back tonight and Sherlock comes back on the 19th.  Yup, a happy mom, a TV watching mom, means there is a lap for me to sit on, snuggle into and be comfy. A happy mom is a happy me!!!

More Bad Weather

We have a rainy, wintery mix coming. I'm glad mom put our coats on, but how about an umbrella? I mean really, that's not too much to ask, is it?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Yeah, we're not moving, not if we can help it. Not until the temperature gets to above freezing!

It Is So Cold...

Mom made sure to put my coat on before she took me outside. It didn't matter. It was still COLD! And my paws froze so mom had to carry me back inside. Thank goodness for mom. Of course, if she had just left me inside, I would have been FINE!!!

Don't Even Think It!

They cancelled school today last night!!! Apparently we are going to get heavy snow and REALLY, REALLY cold weather. Mom is not getting me outside for anything!!!

I can't see you!!! I can't hear you!!! I am not moving from this nice warm spot!!!

Grrrrr!

So, after almost two weeks off, mom has to go back to work. She's really not looking forward to going back, especially with this huge storm coming, that is supposed to bring even more snow Friday than Thursday. I know I am going to miss mom a lot, because I will not have a lap to snuggle in, like I have for the past two weeks. My life is so hard!
