Too Tired Thursday

Last night was PlusOne's spring concert. the Jazz Band played, the Women's Choir, the A Capella Choir, the school choir, the Band, the Orchestra and then the entire Orchestra, Band and Choir. Mom got there ar 6:00 pm and left at 9:30 pm. And of course she HAD to buy PlusOne chicken nuggets, fires, a drink and an ice cream. He was hungry you know. And hot. And wired for sound. Mom is tired just looking at him. lol

Monuments Men

Mom and Dad watched The Monuments Men Sunday night. It was a good movie. A very good movie. But more importantly, mom is really, really happy that a guy back then said, "Hey, you know what? We need to save the art." Because art IS important. And Stout/Stokes was right. "You can wipe out an entire generation, you can burn their homes to the ground and somehow they'll still find their way back. But if you destroy their history, you destroy their achievements and it's as if they never existed."

Long Weekend

I am looking forward to a relaxing long weekend. However, I have a feeling mom does NOT plan on relaxing. She wants to plant her sunflowers (yes, she's late) and weed her flower garden, clean the back porch, make PlusOne clean his bedroom (it's really bad!) and sew, sew, sew. Geesh mom, don't you EVER stop?

Mom woke up yesterday morning and asked PlusOne if he had cello sectionals (when PlusOne has to get to school for 7:00 am with all the other cellists to practice). PlusOne told her no, it wasn't Friday. Yet. lol

Mom told me in no uncertain terms could I eat any green bean plants until they start growing green beans. The same goes for the sugar snap peas and the strawberry plants. Sigh. Mom is NO fun sometimes.

Gardening Monday

Mom's strawberries have returned. Woo Hoo. See the two berries already growing?

My SECOND green bean plant! I can taste them already.

The boysenberry bush is growing like a weed. The fence is six feet tall and the stakes are eight feel tall. I am anticipating lots of good green stuff this year!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

While Lucky and I slumber in comfort, Dad, Mom and PlusOne are going to see Godzilla. I think my idea for an easy, carefree Sunday is much better than theirs.

Rain, I want rain! Really. After all, I need rain to make my green beans grow. You know, yummy, fresh green beans. Mmmmm, I can't wait! I shall dream of green beans growing.

It was 85 degrees F here yesterday. It was really, really nice. Almost hot. Today it's supposed to be around 58 degrees F. PHOOEY! I wan the nice weather back!

Happy Mother's Day all you mothers out there! Go sit on your mom and make them enjoy the day. My mom might be planting green beans today. Maybe, if I'm lucky. She also bought 2 asparagus plants and and artichoke plant, as well as some lettuce and a sweet red pepper plant.

Not Nice People

Mom and PlusOne like watching FaceOff and sometimes Top Chef. Recently they started watching Ink Master. Mom and PlusOne couldn't believe the difference between the nice, friendly, but still competitive people of FaceOff versus the agressive, foul mouthed, cut throat not nice people of Ink Master. Mom and PlusOne like Sausage and HATE Scott. He is a very not nice person. Mom wishes people would realize that you can still be nice and be competitive. It worked for Raschad. They want Scott to go home. Maybe I should go poop in his bed?
