I was sitting on mom's lap when she took the camera, stuck it to the side of me and snapped this photo. She didn't even look in the view finder and she somehow managed to get this nice photo of me. Talk about dumb luck! lol

I don't know why Lucky needs legs, since PlusOne always holds her no matter where he is sitting. And she doesn't care what position she's in as long as she'd being held by him.

Black Friday

Mom, Lucky and I are going to watch some more Man Int the High Castle today. That's going to be the most strenuous thing mom does, other than balance her checkbook. Trust me, we don't go anywhere NEAR the mall or the stores today. It's much more fun to sleep in and watch tv.

Happy Thanksgiving

This was last Thanksgiving! 

 

The Thanksgiving when Mom was the only one with power and Auntie's perfectly planned Thanksgiving turned into a free for all (with a cat in the bathroom, no less).

This is the forecast for today. Needless to say, Auntie is VERY happy she can finally have her perfectly planned Turkey Day.

Busy Weekend

Mom sews patches on the karate uniforms for people who don't want to sew themselves.This weekend she had a number of patches to sew, so while she was busy pinning, she thought she'd take advantage of Comcast's $2.49 movie sale. First she watched the Man From Uncle, which she liked (what's NOT to like about Henry Cavill, I ask?)

The she watched Terminator Genisys, which was not as terrible as people said, but it wasn't fantastic either. And since Mom's watched every season of Face Off, she really couldn't stand John Connor's totally unrealistic scars.

Then, since mom had watched all her regular TV, she tried this:

Can you say EERIE and CHILLING and OMG, thank yuu very much I'll pass on thinking about it, but boy, she's hooked.

The only  other thing of interest is Mom WATCHED me climb in the laundry basket of clean clothes and just laughed at me when I settled in. So did Dad. But I got out before she could get the camera. lol

This is Blondie! Mom's BFF of 35 years (YIKES!)

They met at Freshman Orientation back in June or July of 1980!

This particular photo was taken on Mom's wedding day, back in 1989.

Anyway, yesterday was Blondie's birthday (we'll never tell how old she is) but Mom FORGOT to post it (bad Mom) so here's a big shout out to Mom's Bestest Friend. (I mean, seriously, she's put up with Mom for 35 years and she's NOT related by blood - that's heavy duty!)

SO Happy Birthday, Blondie, hope it was a GREAT one!

Helping

 I helped mom make the beds yesterday. First I sat in the dirty laundry, making sure mom didn't use it by mistake.

And then I helped her flatten out the top sheet on PlusOne's bed, so it wouldn't be wrinkly for when he went to bed. Aren't I a great helper?

Ahem!

Yeah, it's great here right now, it's supposed to be in the 50's a lot this week, but if you look at the BOTTOM (night time) temperature, you'll understand why I am sleeping under ALL the blankets and why mom turned the heat on last night.

It was SPITTING SNOW yesterday morning.

Standing With France

PlusOne's cousins live in Paris. One of his cousins lives 3 minutes from where one of the bombs went off. It took her a long time to get home, but she did, and the family is safe. We are very thankful they are safe and heartbroken at the loss of life.

Sweet Seventeen

Yesterday was PlusOne's girlfriends birthday. I would call her nice, but whenever Memere cooks something, it ends up being nice (that's a nice ham, isn't this a nice steak) so even though she really is very, very nice, I will call her "Sweetie". She really is very sweet as well. Sweetie plays the viola. On Wednesday she was named "First Chair" viola in Orchestra. PlusOne was very proud of her.

He showered her with little POP figure gifts.

So far this one is her favorite.

I can't find any pug pop figures, so maybe that's why PlusOne got her the Wendigo from Hannibal instead. lol

It was in the high 60's yesterday. Warm enough that Mom was wondering what month this was. I thought it was November, but then, I can't read so how would I know. 

All I DO know is that Mom is afraid of getting as much snow as last year.

Yeah, I'm NOT looking forward to that!

Tattl Tale Tuesday

So, mom bought this extra bed a few weeks ago and put it in the kitchen where it sits in the sun. She came home from work yesterday to find me in it, and Lucky in the other bed, all by herself. Mom thinks I'm acting weird, howling when she's gone, not sleeping with my sister and cuddling up with her every minute I can.
What's weird about that?

Memere came over last night to use mom's bubble jet tub (no, she did NOT put bubbles in it like PlusOne did) but she DID enjoy it very much. She said she was ready for bed after, as it relaxed ALL her sore muscles! lol
