Wow

 Mom was picking blackberries galore last night. That may not look like a lot, but it was a whole sandwich baggie full to the brim!

Lucky was a little chilled from her bath (Mom thinks the water was too cold) so Mom put the heatie thing in the microwave and set it next to Lucky to warm her up. She stopped shivering went right to sleep, lol.

Sometimes

Sometimes when it is very hot, Lucky doesn't feel like sleeping on carpet or in her dog bed. Sometimes she feels the hardwood floor is cooler.

It's been very warm lately, not humid, just hot. Which is different. Lucky sleeping on the floor is different as well.

All told, Mom and Blondie walked 7.2 miles yesterday, 6.5 of it was on the beach (they walked the length og the beach twice!). Boy, did mom sleep well last night! And she went to bed early to boot!

Cranky

Mom has been cranky out of sorts this past week, so she and Blondie are having a girl's day. They may hit the beach, or the quilt shop, they're not real sure and they don't care.  As long as mom comes home and snuggles with me, I don't either.

Garden Work

Mom went out and started putting up the stakes for the green beans last night and she's almost done setting up the string for the sugar snap peas. 

I joined her for a while, until she caught me digging in the dirt and then I was banished to the house. She is SO unfair! sigh

Kurios

 Mom, Dad, PlusOne, Pretty Girl and Memere went to see Kurios, Cirque Du Soleil Sunday.

Mom's BFF bought a slew of tickets for her family and shared with Mom et al. Mom says it was VERY cool!

 

 PlusOne thought these gals were just .... wrong They were pretty amazing and this photo doesn't even do justice to them.

This guy was amazing and Mom could hardly believe he could balance on those things, whiel SWINGING!

If you ever have a chance to see Cirque Du Soleil, you should go. It is certainly an awesome experience.

Tomorrowland

So Mom watched Tomorrowland last night. She has to say, George Clooney has made some very good choices in making movies. 

She liked this movie, she liked the optimism and the fact that it was the artists, the dreamers, the creative types that were so valuable.

As opposed to the wall street trader.

Ummmm, Okay

Mom was told yesterday that the reason people needed assault rifles was because they would need them if they had to overthrow the government. You know, like we did over 240 years ago.

Mom pointed out that the military would have planes and tanks and was told that 1 million people couldn't beat 10 million with assault rifles.

The Girl Who Can't Say No!

Mom has laryngitis, so Dad is calling her the "girl who can't say no!" lol

Mom's boss thought it was awesome Mom couldn't talk. He gave a big Woo Hoo and laughed at the look on Mom's face.

Even I know he'll regret it when he needs help and Mom will just smile and walk away.

I would like to think that hate won't win, but then I listen to Donald Trump and the hatred he constantly spews forth and how many people support him and I fear for our country and our future.

Hanging Reindeer

Mom's been cleaning the breezeway, the area between the garage and the house. Since Mom and dad have several (a small herd, actually) of reindeer, Mom needed a place to put thwm when they weren't in use.
She found a place.

Mom hung the reindeer from the rafters.

So now the area to the recycle bins is clean and Mom can hang the heavy bag for when PlusOne and Mom want to punch and kick something really hard and not hurt each other.

It's been chilly (high 60's, low 70's) that latter half of this week. Perfect for cuddling with PlusOne.

Finally Friday

Come on, Mom! Come cuddle with us. It's Friday, time to rest and give us the loving we so desperately need and deserve!

Mom has been patiently waiting for Season 3 of The Musketeers to start when she finally figured out that it is only being shown on Hulu and this is the last season.

Mom has Netflix, she doesn't feel like buying Hulu for 10 episodes. 

And she heard that CBS is going to reboot Star Trek but show it on a pay only station.

Hey guys, we pay for TV as it is, don't get greedy!

PlusOne got his grades this weekend and Mom is so proud of them she is going to share!

Mom had the recycle bins on the side wall, but stuff kept falling out of them when Mom would toss it in.

 Soooo

 

 So she moved the bins to the back wall and made a "table" out of them. They drop right in and now stuff won't fall between or behind the bins.

This one fits the best, of course it's also the last one Mom did.

She hung this neat entertainment bridge up so she has shelf space

and

She bought the cheap $5.64 hose holders instead of the $26.00 ones. She may or may not paint the wall as it's inside, never sees any weather and she doesn't know if she feels like scraping and repainting something that only she, PlusOne and Dad will see.

Mom is almost done banging around in the breezeway. She has to put up a few more things and then clean it out and it will be ready for photos.

My Silly SIster

Lucky will literally fall asleep where ever she is. What's funny about her, is that she tries desperately NOT to fall asleep, so much so that she falls over like someone trying not to sleep through class.

She falls over, props herself up again and repeats until she finally can't stay awake any longer.

Mom always said that one of the reasons PlusOne went to bed so easily as a young spud was because Lucky was ready for bed at 8:30 pm as well.
