Pepere Has Gone To Heaven

Pepere went to Heaven early yesterday morning. He had end of life heart failure.

In 1993 they gave him 5 years to live. PlusOne was born in 1997 and Pepere decided that he wanted to see PlusOne graduate from high school. He did.

We are grateful for the wonderful years we had with him.

We loved him a lot.

Grand Central Station

Dad says he thinks his lap is Grand Central Station.

Or at least Juliet and Loopy do.

The V-E-T

Juliet went to the V-E-T yesterday. While she was scared and trembled a bit, she was not visibly trembling.

Juliet weighd 16.5 pounds and is in very good health.

When they took her out back to express an anal gland and micro chip her, she didn't make a peep. (unlike Loopy, who yelped).

Mom was very impressed that she was lying on the table so quietly and not shaking. Mom thinks it might be because the vet tech and the V-E-T were women.

Or it could be because Loopy told her everyone there was cool.

Tattle Tale Tuesday

 Loopy and Juliet were not too happy to see snow yesterday.

Loopy decided to see what it would taste like.

Juliet decided her feet were cold and she didn't want to be outside any more.

Until Loopy went inside. Then she decided it was time to play.

Visit

Mom's older brother, the rock climber, is coming for Thanksgiving.

Mom is excited. She hasn't seen him since hew nephew's wedding a few years ago.

He is staying with Memere and will be a big help to Memere & Pepere.

Memere is doing much better but Mom still can't see her since she hasn't gotten rid of her cold yet.

Mom is making chicken soup to help speed her recovery.

I love chicken.

Snoozing Sunday

Mom and Dad went to see Rodrigo y Gabriela last night in Hampton Beach,

They had bought the tickets in September so even though is still fighting her cold, they went to have a good time.

It was awesome. Gabriela's fingers were flying so fast over the guitar you just can't imagine.

They will have a new album out soon. Mom is looking forward to it.

Loopy likes to do it as well.

He just hasn't gotten caught while Mom has had a camera.

But it will happen.

Truthful Thursday

Dad enjoys sitting with dogs on the sofa.

Except for when Juliet and Loopy decide to have a dominance tussle.

Can't Say No

Mom has succumbed to her cold and is now the "girl who can't say no" as Dad likes to say.

In other words, she's lost her voice.

She can't scream at me if I get into the garbage. Woo Hoo!

In other words, Memere's operation went well and she is feeling much better now that her heart is being regulated again. She is looking forward to going home but the doctors and nurses are not rushing anything.

Mom is fine with that.

(and even if she wasn't, she couldn't complain!)

Monday, Monday

Memere is having her pacemaker replaced today. It died who knows when, but after her last check up on October 10th.

Since she has been taking care of Pepere, her heart has been working overtime and tired her out. And she hasn't been eating well so there you have a recipe for not feeling well.

Hopefully she will go home on Tuesday and everyone will feel a whole lot better about that.

Not Feeling Well

Memere was not feeling well all of yesterday and then she started to get very, very nauseous so she went to the Emergency Room.

Mom went with her and stayed with her until they checked her into her room.

They are not sure if her pacemaker needs to be replaced so she is being observed until they are sure she is okay.
