Awards

Luxor gave us the Totally Hip Award. Isn't that cool? We are hip. We are happenin'. We are cool! Wow, I would never have guessed we were hip! Thank you Luxor.

Diva Kitty gave Millie, Lucky and I this award, Da Big Kahuna Award for our "charity quilting." Honestly Diva Kitty, we loved doing it, and helping out. It made us feel good. Thank you!

And last, but not least, DaisyMae Maus gave us this award. She says "It is a great honor to present "This Blog is absolutely PAWESOME" award to the inaugural FIVE". Can you believe that? We are one of the inaugural five! And see what else she says about us:

Lucky and Roxy the Devil Dog: These two intrepid pugs jumped into blogging with all eight feet and the blogosphere is all the better for their participation. And pugs ROCK!

Aren't those great compliments? I am going to have to think about who to pass these on to, (mainly because I still can't believe we are so hip and pawesome that I'm almost speechless.) Wow! I think I need to go to bed before I pass out. Good night

Easy Like Sunday Morning

This was how mom felt, after her exam yesterday morning.

Totally wiped out.

That's because mom puts it all on the line when she has one of these tests. So she is sweaty, slightly stinky, and totally zonked when she's done. And it wasn't even ten am.

So she's taking it easy today. (When have you heard that before?)

The good news? Mom passed. She also passed her probational period, so she is now, officially, a First Degree Black Belt in Kenpo. Now she gets to wear the really cool belt Mr. Karate bought her for her birthday. It has her name on it and, because she is a teacher, the school crest.

See the red stripe? That means mom is a first degree black belt. Mr. Karate has 2 stripes, because he is a 2nd degree, working on his 3rd.

Well, good night, I have to put mom to bed, and sit on her to make her rest. That shouldn't be too difficult though, at least, not tonight.

Yesterday Morning

Yesterday morning.

I kid you not.

It was snowing when mom woke up.

It sort of felt like this.

Yeah, get with the program!

Make A Wish

Dragonheart and Merlin tagged me for this a few days ago, and I had to think real hard about what my wish was. I have finally figured out what I wish for, more than anything in the whole world.

The Rules
1. Think about what it is that you want more than anything, what your heart's desire and fondest wish is, and what it is that you would wish for if you were to see the above wishing star flame across the night sky.

2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.

3. Use a graphics program of your choice and place your wish on this picture:

4. Post the Make A Wish Meme and your wishing star on your blog along with these rules.

5. Tag as many people as you like so that there can be wishing stars all across the Blogosphere and ask them to please link back to Linda so that we can see what wishes others have made and share those wishes with others.

Copy this graphic

This is my wish. It would be wonderful if it could be true.

I tag Darling Millie and anyone else who wants to make a wish.

Thursday Thirteen

Last week mom told you about the "step" exam she is taking Saturday, to get another stripe on her belt. This week I though I would tell you some of the things she has to do during the exam.

1) A technique called Cross of Destruction. (Sounds cool, huh?)

2) A technique called Obscure Claws. (Mom loves this one)

3) 4, 5 and 6 count stick and knife drills called "Spada y Daga"

4) Left side 5, 6 and 7 count Spada y Daga drills. (Stick and knife)

5) The left and right side of the technique Dance of Darkness, which is part of mom's form. (All techniques have the original side, then the opposite can be done to show symmetry.)

6) The left and right side of the technique Bowing to Buddha, which is also part of mom's form.

7) The left and right side of the technique Destructive Kneel, which is also part of mom's (really long) form.

8) A technique called Deceptive Panthers.

9) A technique called Obscure Wing.

10) A technique called Reversing Mace, plus extension.

11) Push-ups, sit-ups or crunches.

12) Basics: punches, strikes, kicks, and foot maneuvers.

13) The left and right side of the technique Snaking Talon, which is also part of mom's really, really long form.

Mom has to be there at 8:30 am and be raring to go. Me, I am going to sleep in.
