Sunny Days Are Here Again

It was a beautiful day here yesterday. We sat outside while mom fixed the gate latch. It was nice outside, really warm, 55 degrees.

Today everyone is coming over to have Boston Creme Pie and ice cream for PlusOne's birthday. I wonder if we'll get any? I bet we won't. Life is so unfair.

Sunny Saturday

When mom came home from work yesterday, the front door was open. It was 49 degrees and sunny.

It is supposed to be nice today as well. Mom is really looking forward to it. So are we.

Thankful Friday

Mom and PlusOne want to thank everyone for PlusOne's birthday wishes. PlusOne had fun reading all the comments here and at Millie's blog. He's not sure about being called "the teen". What do you think?

PlusOne Is A Teenager Today

Happy Birthday, PlusOne.
I don't know why mom is moaning. Do you?

Tattle Tale Tuesday

Memere and Pepere got their power back around lunch time yesterday. After lunch they went home.

When dad heard that, he said to mom "Now we have to fend for ourselves," because memere had been the driving force behind the dinners they'd been having. Mom thought it was pretty funny. So did memere.

Another Vacation Day?

Mom has to go back to work today, but PlusOne gets a day off from school. The school superintendent called off school because "too many streets remain littered with fallen trees and power lines." It presents a "safety issue for students, most of whom walk to school." In addition, 23 city streets are still closed. "I just don't want kids out walking on that. They could get hurt."

Mom won't argue with that, because there are still people who have no power (memere and pepere are among them) and some of them only live four blocks from us.

Memere INSISTED on folding mom's laundry today, and Pepere INSISTED on doing the dishes. I kid you not. Mom finally stopped arguing with them because it was stressing them out too much. So she let them clean. Who is mom to stand in the way of someone wanting to do the dishes?
