Surprised

Yesterday was PlusOne's first People to People meeting. It was a social, to get to know the other delegates. PlusOne finished the Information Bingo first, and received a nice P2P sticker. It had questions like "owns a cat" (cat? cat I ask you? No pugs among the bunch of them, phooey) "has an older sister" or "eldest child". There were 25 of them. Mom always said PlusOne was a talker, and could talk to just about anyone. Well, that proved it.

Mom was surprised that some of the students hadn't started Fund Raising yet. Mom wants it over and done, paid for, with no more worrying. PlusOne said "that's because you're mom!" Yup, that's my mom. "Get it done now, no last minute fooling around for us!"

Two Dog Night Defined

Not a Three Dog Night, because, of course, there are only two of us.

Three Dog Night
It refers to being cold. Often when ranchers or cowboys were out on the range they would have to sleep with their dogs to keep warm. A one dog night was a night when he had to share body heat with one dog, two dog night was two dogs and a three dog night was an extremely cold night where he would have to share body heat with three dogs. “how cold was it on your trip?” “It was a three dog night”.

Mom pulled the covers back on PlusOne yesterday morning to find Lucky stretched out against PlusOne's back and me curled up against his stomach. I think that is what you call a win win situation.

Back To Work

This is how mom feels about going back to work today. I can't say I am thrilled about it either. No more cuddling and being under the blanket all day while she reads. No more getting out of bed really late. No more belly rubs and ear scratches all day long. Yeah, I'm not happy about it either.
