Today...

Mom is going to karate, then her favorite quilt shop for Fat Quarter Weekend. She loves going to the quilt shop and she LOVES Fat Quarter Weekend. PlusOne is getting a guided tour of the amazing sites of Athens as well as the Parthenon.

He is also going to learn the first steps of the most popular Greek dances then watch a traditional folkloric dance show. Who do you think is going to have more fun?Yeah, PlusOne hands down. Mom is so jealous!

He's Off

Actually, he has already arrived in Frankfurt, Germany. They are seven hours ahead of us.

Mom had to leave the airport because she was going to start crying. Two of the team leaders were there and three or four of the other travelers. He'll be arriving in Greece around lunch time.Mom will, thankfully, be too busy at work to miss him. Maybe. NOT. The house is so QUIET! lol.

Anyway, happy Friday everyone.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

PlusOne's plane leaves at 4:30 pm. He arrives in Greece Friday, around lunch time, after a stop in Frankfurt.
It is supposed to be near 100 degrees in Athens, with 71% humidity.

Where do you think you're going? That's what I asked him before he left. He just laughed at me. You MUST respect the STINK EYE! I'll make you pay.

Packing and Thanks, Again

PlusOne leaves for Europe on Thursday and mom wanted to make certain everything was packed and ready to go.

So Saturday she got everything ready for him.(Though why he needs a sweatshirt when the temperature in Greece will be 95 degrees F this week is anyone's guess.)

Still, mom wants him ready and it to be DONE so they can both be stress free Thursday.

Once more, Mom, Dad, PlusOne, Lucky and I would like to thank everyone who helped make this incredible opportunity for PlusOne happen. Bloggers bought quilt raffle tickets, mom and dad's family gave generously, PlusOne's teachers and neighbors bought his home made bread and cookies as well as quilt raffle tickets. It all combined to give PlusOne the chance to enjoy an amazing adventure. Thank you all!
