Lucky's Birthday

Today is Lucky's birthday. She is five years old. In honor of her birthday, I will show only cute Lucky photos. (Like she's not always cute.)

This is the night we got her. You can tell PlusOne loved her from the first.

Oh yeah, she's HIS dog. Or rather, he's HER boy.

Meanwhile Lucky is saying she wishes she weren't loved so much! Ha Ha!

This is one of mom's favorite photos of the two of them.

Lucky's new coat. She really wasn't sure what to make of it.

She has always slept in weird ways.

And she's always looked cute sleeping.

Even when mom was worried she would fall off the recliner.

Here she is with Muffie, the pug who came before. Muffie was 16 years old in this photo.

Lucky always tried to comfort Muffie, who had lost her sister several months earlier.

Lucky trying to figure out the directions. (I told you she was blonde, didn't I?)

Sleeping with PlusOne. Her favorite thing to do.

Doesn't she look like she's going to fall off the sofa?

Mom was worried about her. But I knew she'd be fine.

And lastly, an "Awwwwwwwwwwww!" photo for all of you.

I know I pick on Lucky, but I wouldn't want anyone else for a sister. Happy Birthday Lucky!

Thursday Thirteen

Roxy's mom here. This week, especially, we should all be thankful for the wonderful people or things in our lives. It is also a week to do that thing you have been putting off for a long time, like telling your mother you think she's wonderful or telling your sister that you wish you could cook as well as she does. Tell someone something that would make their day. Don't wait, you never know, it may be too late when you finally decide to do it.

This is what I am thankful for:

1) Dad & PlusOne

2) Memere & Pepere

3) Auntie & Mr. Karate

4) Lucky & Roxy

5) The rest of my family, my two brothers, their wives, my nieces & nephews, my aunt & uncle and all my in-laws.

6) Darling Millie, who changed Auntie's life for the better.

7) Everyone on the Cat Blogosphere, for raising money for Auntie to go to Sprout's funeral. As Sprout's godmother, Auntie really needed to be there.

8) All the wonderful people who work for all the animal rescues, Pug Rescues and animal shelters around the country.

9) All the wonderful people who decide to adopt a dog or cat with a little mileage on them, or in other words one that is not a puppy or kitty.

10) All the wonderful people who share in this blogging that we do, and understand us when we talk about how much we love our pets and who connect with us over that love, regardless of race, religion, political affiliation or country.

11) Monty's beans, who made Auntie so very happy by asking her to be Sprout's godmother.

12) Diva Kitty, Mom Robyn, and Kikky Cat's mom Becky for the details of getting Auntie to Maryland.

13) The fact that my family and I are all healthy and still with me.

13A) The fact that you all read my blog. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me & mine be a part of your lives.

Dad's Birtday

Today is dad's birthday. Happy Birthday, dad!

Here I am as a puppy with dad at one of my first Pug Meet-ups. Everyone thought I was cute.

I like to sleep with dad. He is good to sleep with.

I also like sitting in his arms at the computer. Especially if mom has Lucky in her lap. Dad also gives me more treats than mom. But I would love him even if he didn't.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Mom is still sad about Sprout, but she is trying to keep her spirits up. She wants to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts. She knows Monty's family really needs thoughts and prayers right now.

Violette Has Gone to God

There is no other way to say this, but Violette, the little girl we all knew as Sprout, has gone to God. All we know is that her heart gave out. We do not know any other details. We are all heartbroken. Auntie, especially so.

I will be back, I just cannot post right now.

Prayers Needed

This is Sprout. Remember how Auntie visited Sprout last month and we had to go down to Maryland to rescue/kidnap her?

Well, Sprout decided to take a header and earned herself a trip to the emergency room, and from there to Children's Hospital. Auntie and I are asking everyone to send their prayers, good thoughts and support to Monty Q's family for Sprout's quick and complete recovery.

Thank you.
