Lonely

Mom and dad dropped PlusOne off at overnight camp yesterday. Mom is all mupsy. Lucky will miss PlusOne, because she sleeps with him at night. I will miss curling up with him when mom takes a shower in the morning.


He is sitting on the far right of this photo, facing us. That is his cabin behind him. He was watching the kids play a card game.


Here he is joining them in playing the card game. He let mom make the bed and gave her a kiss (when no one could see them) then mom and dad left.

I don't know how mom will survive this week. Memere either. She called twice Friday to see what he was up to without her. lol.

A Good Day

I am happy to report that mom ran twenty minutes in her candidate class today without incident. She slowed her pace down, took smaller steps and made a conscious effort to relax. She also put her water bottle in her gi top so whenever she needed a sip she had it at hand. She also brought her own stop watch and didn't muck it up twice (like she did the last time.) She was very happy that she didn't over heat either.

Then she went on to be completely silly and took the class after as well. I think that qualified her for being completely off her rocker, but she was laughing at herself so it was okay.

Memere asked mom if she thought that perhaps first degree black was as far as she should go. Mom's response.... NO! Mom may consider slowing down at 3rd degree black. By then, she should be 50. But we'll see. With the physical therapy, her shoulder is feeling good and as long as mom doesn't have to be the fastest or strongest, she's not stopping.

I don't know if I have posted this photo before. (Really with almost 2 years of posting it gets hard to keep track of what has and hasn't been posted.) But I do know the story. Dad bought McDonald's for him and PlusOne that night for dinner, and I wanted some. I mean, really, who wouldn't want those fries?

Fabulous Berry Friday

Thursday Three

1) I love my dad.

2) Alegria was a lot of fun. PlusOne had a ball. Mom kept it a surprise until the very last minute.

3) Lots more rain yesterday. (The first 23 days of June we got 6.5" of rain, normal is 2.3") But the roof STILL didn't leak! Woo Hoo!

Wordy Wednesday

We had a HUGE rainstorm yesterday. It was a DELUGE. There was also FLOODING. You can imagine the dread mom felt when she went to the spare bedroom to see how much the roof had leaked.


Ta DA! It didn't leak. Yet! Mom is cautiously optimistic again. It rained a lot last night. We'll see how today goes.


And this photo is because I am much cuter than a dry hardwood floor (that needs to be refinished).

Tired Tuesday

Mom played roof adventure Sunday, but she won't know if she succeeded until it rains, or until she takes the hose to the roof. She even went in the attic looking for a leak, but without rain, it was hard to find.

The rest of Sunday she spent working on her second Asian lap robe. I helped dad relax.


I like it when dad scratches my sides.
