The incredible life of me, Roxy Dragon Pebbles, otherwise known as The Devil Dog and my new sister, Juliet, and my new brother, Loopy. I have no idea what I did to deserve that name! Honest! Just because I'm a black dog doesn't mean I'm naughty dog.

Hard Time
Hi. Mom here. A little over one year ago, four terrible young men broke into a home and brutally murdered the mother and nearly killed the daughter. The eleven year old girl received her black belt from my favorite guest instructor (a student of my studio owner). The trial for one of the men started this week. I am having a hard time reading about the trial and not wishing this young man dead or burning in Hades for all eternity. You might say, don't read it, but I need to read it, if for no other reason than to support this family. I can't sit around and wait for a verdict, even though I am pretty sure what the verdict will be. I am astounded by the cold blooded, heartless attack, the brutality of it, and the courage with which both mother and daughter fought. It is hard to be light hearted when you are faced with this type of evil.
Tell your family members what is in your heart, that you love them and how much they mean to you. Lock your doors, put sensor lights up and praise your pug every time they bark at someone coming into your house. Be thankful for what you have and pray that you never have to face this type of situation. You never know what the day or the night brings, just hope you have the strength to face whatever comes your way.
Thanks for letting me vent. Here's a cutie to look at. Hope she makes you smile.

Easy Like German Chocolate Cake
Yup, that's right, you heard me. German Chocolate Cake with Coconut and Pecan Frosting.
PlusOne had to make a cake from scratch for his reading and writing class. He has to write a letter describing the entire cooking experience. PlusOne chose German Chocolate Cake (with Coconut and Pecan frosting). He had help making the cake, or rather, he had a supervisor. One of mom's karate students (NinjaOne) (and now probational teacher) supervised. She used to be a caterer and she did a great job walking PlusOne through the whole cake experience.
All I can say was mom was going yum a lot and when a piece fell off the plate, she fought me for it. I lost (drat) but she didn't get to eat it either. lol

The Dogbrella
Remember how last week we were all saying we hated the rain, and wished our parents had an umbrella for US? Well, look what mom found in the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog!
Isn't this wild? I think mom is going to have to order me one right away!

Tattle Tale Tuesday
I just figured out what that is growing over by the fence in our backyard. It is my broccoli!
Believe it or not, I didn't even realize that I had broccoli growing in my backyard. Now, however, every time I go outside I head straight over to my broccoli and try to chow down. And now, unfortunately, every time I do that, mom, dad and PlusOne all stop me. Life is so unfair.

Thankful Thursday
Mom says we should all be thankful that the 33 Chilean miners were rescued. Mom says we should be thankful that all sorts of people worked together to make the Phoenix that brought them up to the surface. I think that is a really good thing to be thankful for, don't you?

MY Spot
Lucky decided to climb into MY spot on the sofa. The top of the middle cushion. Except the middle cushion was pushed forward, so Lucky got trapped there. (lol) Guess who is NOT going to help her get out? You got it, ME!
I am also giving mom the "I'm not looking at you" glare, because she didn't make Lucky move.
Sisters and mothers... phooey!

Happy Birthday John Lennon
Dad asked mom why people were still so interested in The Beatles and their music. Mom said it was because their music always made her tap her foot and sing along. Even PlusOne likes their music. That is a wonderful legacy, don't you think?

A Squillion Days Ago
Wilma, the Goddess of Wisdom and Pugs gave me an award. She gave me this award. The Doggie Bloggie Award. Thank you, Wilma! You are awesome!
1) I love broccoli.
2) I have destroyed (or eaten, depending on who you ask) an entire gingerbread house (made by PlusOne.)
3) I love green beans.
4) I am good when I go for a car ride, but I would prefer to sit up front with mom instead of in the back with PlusOne.
5) I can hear the dog treat can being shaken in the kitchen from way in the backyard (and down a flight of stairs.)
6) I love to roll around in clean laundry. I don't mind rolling around in dirty laundry either.
7) I like PlusOne, I just like mom better.
8) I love getting on the kitchen table, I am just not really good at getting down.
9) I will sleep on top of my sister anytime, anywhere.
10) I bark at Auntie when she comes over.
11) I don't bark at Memere when she comes over.
12) I bark at Mr. Karate when he comes in as well. Then he gives me treats. And he thinks I am trained. lol
13) I LOVE shredding kleenex, especially if they are used.
14) I love to curl into the back of mom's knees, or into her stomach. I also love putting my chin in her left elbow crook, making it hard for mom to blog.
15) I will jump off of whatever I am on when I hear someone open the fridge or cabinet.
1. Please thank the dog who gave this to you, and link to them. Check.
2. Name 10 (yes 10) things about yourself. Try to be as creative as possible.

3. Then, award 15 doggie bloggers. It doesn’t matter whether they are old or new. All furends deserve this.
I think everyone has this by now. If you don't consider yourself given the award.
4.Comment on the new receivers of this award’s blog to let them know of the love.
I love you all! You are all awesome, but of course, you know that, because you are PUGS and pugs rock!

Tattle Tale Tuesday
My mother is losing her mind. Seriously. She had a Tattle Tale Tuesday already to go tonight then FORGOT what she wanted to write about. If that isn't something to worry about then I don't know what is.
I will be keeping an extra close eye on mom for the next few days. If anyone else notices anything weird about her, please let me know ASAP. I need to call the doctor about possible treatments.

Like Watching Paint Dry
You know the saying "It's about exciting as watching paint dry" (or some such variation?) Well that's what Lucky and I had to do while we watched mom fix the broken corner of the steps.
She drilled a few holes to get the new cement to bond with the old cement and went to town. And we had to watch cement cure.
Lucky did not appreciate all of mom's hard work.
Hahahahaha!
