The incredible life of me, Roxy Dragon Pebbles, otherwise known as The Devil Dog and my new sister, Juliet, and my new brother, Loopy. I have no idea what I did to deserve that name! Honest! Just because I'm a black dog doesn't mean I'm naughty dog.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
Life is good. Mom had fresh green beans yesterday. She "dropped" two (for me, of course) and boy were they yummy. She also has some snap peas growing. She is very excited about that. And her sunflowers are growing well. She'll post some photos of that tomorrow. Today, I'm not sure what she is going to do, but I know what I am going to do. RELAX! In the sunshine!

Funny Friday
As I told you, PlusOne slept over Memere's Wednesday night. Memere asked about making his bed. PlusOne replied that he had taken care of it. Memere went in the room and said to PlusOne, "you can't use the floral sheets. I am having company and I need to keep those sheets for the company."
PlusOne replied "So, I'm not good enough for the floral sheets, huh?" Memere laughed. Memere told mom. Mom told dad. Dad called PlusOne and said...
"That's okay, mom doesn't let me sleep on the floral sheets either!"
Guess there's no question where PlusOne gets his sense of humor from.

It's Quite In The House
PlusOne slept over Memere & Pepere's last night. It was awfully quiet in the house.
And since he wasn't home, I had to share the bed with Lucky.
But I didn't have to share any of these luscious berries! For some reason, Lucky doesn't eat them. Mom has been sharing with the people at work and Memere & Pepere. The general consensus is that they melt in your mouth and are "so darn good". Memere said she thought she'd died and gone to heaven.
Enough with the sharing mom! They're MY berries. Just like everything else in the house. MINE! MINE! MINE!
Any questions?

Tattle Tale Tuesday
Thursday PlusOne brought Lucky and I to see Memere and Pepere.
This is what I looked like after I ate 3/4 of a bag of Missy's (Memere's woofie) special treats ordered directly from the vet's office. They were in the cabinet under the sink and behind the garbage can. There were no locks on the cabinet (Missy does not get into the cabinets) and the only reason they were behind the garbage can is because Memere was not ready to start giving them out to Missy.
Mom's co-workers say that I need a new job. A job that utilizes my special skills. Mom has no clue what kind of job I could do and not get into trouble. Memere and Pepere say I am a pill. I say that mom better buy Memere some more treats. What do you think?

Supposedly
Supposedly it is only going to get up to 81 degrees today, with a chance of thunderstorms. It was actually in the low 60's last night. It was beautiful, after all the awful hot hot hot heat heat heat and humidity humidity humidity. My best friend this weekend was the a/c and I don't think anyone can blame me. I really don't want a repeat of that any time soon!

Camp Sunflower Weekend
We're not actually GOING to the Camp Sunflower Weekend (nod, nod, wink, wink).
Where there will be a great swimming hole scouted out by our fabulous hostesses, Wilma and Brigitte.
And lots of other extravaganzas that I can't possibly share with you.
But as you can see by how excited Lucky is, it will be a wonderful time. Not that we're going.

Happy Birthday Auntie!
Today is Auntie's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Auntie. Auntie is like a squillion years old in dog years. She is older than mom by, like, a million years (dog years, of course).
Auntie knows I love her by how much I bark at her when she comes over (I bark at Auntie a lot). I am telling her how much I love her, but I don't think she believes me.
Happy Birthday, Auntie!

Wicked Happy
I am WICKED HAPPY that mom and dad believe in air conditioning. It's been hot, hot, hot and starting in on really humid (mom says that when you get out of the shower and dry off you should feel DRY, not damp!) so luckily, mom and dad put on the a/c and Lucky and I are in heaven.
Mom's computer is pretty much all set, except for a few email addresses and some missing games, she's back in business. Woo Hoooo!

Tattle Tale Tuesday
Cheysuli got both of mom's TV hints. Congrats. Mom says the two of you are showing your age, lol. The good news is that the all great and powerful computer guru thinks mom's computer just needs a new power supply, and it's on the way. The other good news is that mom has a spare to work on until hers gets fixed. Mom says it's good to be the IT geek!

He's Dead, Jim
So, mom thinks her computer is toast. It kept turning off whenever it wanted and then would turn on whenever it wanted. The last time it turned on mom's screen themes were gone and it was welcoming her to Windows XP. It's a good thing she knows how to rebuild it (we can rebuild him. We have the technology.) And yes, mom is quoting famous TV in this post. If you know what she's talking about, post it in the comments. Maybe it will make her smile. I know I sure am trying my hardest.

Easy Like Sunday Morning - NOT
That is, if mom's computer decides to behave. Last night mom turned it on, touched the mouse and poof! It turned itself off. It's something to do with the USB ports, but mom wasn't interested in figuring it out last night. She just backed it up and left it for today. Pray it behaves! And that mom can figure it out.

Gray Day
After a couple of hot, humid days, we had a cloudy, looks like it's gonna rain any minute kind of day. That wasn't too bad. We slept late with PlusOne and enjoyed an easy going day.
Until mom got a bee in her bonnet and started washing the windows in the breakfast nook. Then she washed the walls. Then she started on the baseboard molding and the floor. Lucky and I decided that we didn't want mom thinking we were next, so we high tailed it to another room and hid out until mom calmed down.
I wonder if that's going to happen again today? And tomorrow?

Berry Thursday
Look at mom's huge raspberries! Mom is certainly enjoying them.
So am I. I am eating all the ones I can reach, much to mom's dismay. She keeps yelling at me to get out of them, but mom, I tell her, they're yummy!
Look at all the boysenberries. They will be ripe in a few more weeks, and mom is excited about how many are blooming. Can you say double yummy?

Sharing
PlusOne is spending the night with Grandpa and Nana, so I have to share the bed with Lucky. Which isn't so bad, except that she takes MY spot next to mom or dad. I muscle her out of it and no, I DON'T feel guilty about it either. She understands these things. (She better, after seven and a half years!)

Vet Results And Ribs
When mom put the leash on yesterday morning, I thought we were going someplace FUN! The VET was not FUN! I had blood stolen, got a needle stuck in me and then my ears were checked out. I have an infection in them, so mom has to give me drops twice a day.
I am perfect, however (that should come as no surprise to any of you) in my weight. At 18.4 lbs, I have a lovely waistline and was complimented by no less than FOUR of the staff, including Dr. Loves Me A WHOLE Lot (who wanted to kidnap me from mom when I was very young).
Mom made ribs today, and DIDN'T SHARE! Here they are.
Dad pretty much devoured an entire rack all by himself. It's not really surprising when you figure the meat was falling off the bone tender. Mom and dad made a whole lot of "yummy" sounds, but neither one of them chose to share. I think I shall have to think of a suitable punishment for that.
