Finally

Mom FINALLY had Dad and PlusOne put the living room air conditioners in. I think mom figured it out when Lucky was panting so heavily. Even I didn't realize it was so warm until the a/c was on and cooling me down. Apparently we are supposed to have more nice weather. Now that the downstairs a/c's are in all I can say is SWEET!!!

Favorite Places

 Not mine, PlusOne's!!! Yesterday, Mom played hookey from work and took PlusOne and a friend to the Museum of Science in Boston.

 

 They got there at 9:30 am and didn't leave until 5:00 pm. There have been a lot of changes since mom last went, so they walked and walked and walked.... and I stayed home and slept. That's what you call a win win for everyone!

"Achimedean Excogitation" by George Rhoads. This is one of mom's favorite parts of the Museum. It is a perpetual motion (almost) machine, that mom loves watching every time she visits. Mom wishes she could build something like it. She thinks about it every time she goes there. If I start seeing all sorts of metal track in the backyard, I'll let you know.

Mom says I am back to normal because I knocked over four garbage cans and shredded all the kleenex inside them. I don't think I am all better. I think I need lots and lots of green beans to overcome the trauma I have been through. What do you think?

Funny Comments Friday

Last year, Mom, Lucky and I went to the East Coast Pug Sluts Spring Fling. While we were there, I was perfectly behaved (I know, right...) Anyway, Marcella said I was a SAINT!!!

She called me Santa Rosalia de la Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro aka Roxy, and made this "Saintly" painting of me because I was so well behaved. (When mom went to check into the hotel, I didn't move from the spot she left me in for one hour!!! Mom wants to know why I couldn't have done that Sunday night!!)
 

(Here is Marcella giving me some loving.) Anyway, Mom thinks it's funny that last year I was a Saint and this year I'm an ex con. Wonder what I'll be next year. lol

Why I'm Glad I'm Home

 

There are NO cars in the house or backyard. I am not about to get run over every five minutes

 The sofa is really, really comfy.

 So is the bed. Nice, comfy, safe, warm in the winter, cool in the summer. Almost THE best place to be, ever!!!

I don't have to scrounge for food. Mom gives it to me twice a day and while it may not be as much as I want, it's more than I got Monday morning. Plus mom makes me green beans because she loves me.

 

Mom, Dad and PlusOne all LOVE me. LOVE LOVE LOVE me. I like that. It's better than being alone and unloved.

My sister, Lucky, (who may be a ditz) loves me too, and she'd be bored without me. I am the perfect foil for her. My devilishness against her angelicness. Yeah, we're perfect together and I like it that way.

Yeah, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am not going ANYWHERE! EVER AGAIN!!!

In My Defense

In my defense for why I went for a little walk about Sunday night.

1) I had a hot date
2) There were no green beans in the house
3) There was no broccoli in the house
4) Mom has been boring lately
5) My blog has been boring lately
6) I needed to get to Maryland to find my young stud
7) I was visiting mom's co-worker
8) ......

Okay, I got NOTHING! It was a dumb idea and I am not planning on doing it again any time soon. Okay!!!! And the next time I ever talk about taking a road trip all by myself, will someone please slap me!!!

Staying Put

After her bath, Roxy parked herself on "her" sofa cushion and didn't move.  She dug her nose into the cushion and didn't look up if she could help it. Her back paw pads are scraped like she was dragged or walked over something really nasty. That's why she's limping and not interested in walking around much. I am okay with that. It will make her stay put for a few days.

The top left is where we live. The bottom right is where she was found. 1.65 miles from the house. I have NO idea how she got there. All I know is that she was on three VERY busy streets and how she didn't get hit by a car is probably nothing short of a miracle. Apparently they picked her up yesterday morning, which meant she was outside from around 7:00 pm to any time after 5:00 am. At least ten hours. No wonder she is staying put.

PlusOne is staying home today so he will make sure she is feeling secure and loved. Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers towards her safe return. I really appreciate it.

FOUND

Roxy is HOME! The Animal Shelter called at 1:50 pm and said they had her. She was picked up this MORNING about 1.65 miles from home! She's HOME. She's had a bath and she is not interested in leaving my side. I can't say I am interested in her being away from me right now either!

She is limping a little, but I figure after she rests she'll feel a LOT better. I've fed her and she is snuggling with her sister right now. When I went to the shelter to get her, she slunk out of the cage until she reached me and then the MOMMMYMOMMMYMOMMY began and she didn't leave my arms.

Thank you SO much for all your prayers and support. I really don't know what I would have done if she hadn't been found. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Roxy Is Missing

Roxy got out of the house some time after/during supper, no one knows, and now we can't find her. I would really appreciate some prayers for her as I just don't know where she could have gotten to.  I can't even comprehend the fact that we can't find her. Thank you.

We looked in every nook and cranny in the house, garage and yard. Roxy is nowhere to be found. I've called the police, missing dog line and three vets. I don't know where my Roxy is.

Sad Saturday

Mom, Dad and PlusOne are going to a funeral today. Dad's aunt passed away last Saturday. She was 89. She was a really nice lady. She liked pugs. We didn't visit her, but the pugs who came before did, and she was nice to them.

Here she is with Dad's uncle. He passed away almost ten years ago.

I'm Worried

Mom has been commenting lately that I don't smell quite as good as I normally do. I think this is in my future. sigh. I wonder if I can convince her it should wait until it's really HOT out. Not that that would make a difference. I hate going out in the rain even when it's in the middle of the summer.

Mad Monday

Remember how I said that yesterday would be a nice, relaxing, napping day? Well, I was WRONG. Mom got out of bed and DRAGGED Dad and me out for a walk (or gallop, depending on who you ask). I did try and read mail and investigate the area, but Mom wouldn't let me rest for even a minute. A half hour later she finally took me home and then I did get to rest (kinda hard not to when you're EXHAUSTER). Sheesh. I wonder if this is going to be a regular thing.

Boring Is Good

It's Saturday. Karate in the morning then the usual stuff in the afternoon. Mowing the lawn, checking the green beans and other plants, maybe a little weeding. I know that sounds boring, but some times boring is good. It means I get to sleep longer.
