One Minute

Dad got up from the recliner for one minute last night (while we were watching The Martian, and this is what Lucky did. Didn't I tell you she was a bed/recliner hog.

It's hard to share a bed when your sister sleeps like this! 

PlusOne is hanging with some friends so Lucky is staying with Mom, Dad and me! Sigh. She's SUCH a bed hog!

Compared To Last Year

Compared to last year we are having a rather uneventful winter (but I still don't like going out in the rain, snow or cold). So far hardly any snow, yes it's been cold (it IS winter after all) but nothing like last year. There is almost a feeling that spring will come early. Except this is New England. If we don't like the weather, all we have to do is wait a minute and it will change. Plus all the snow we got last year was mostly in February. You know what they say about payback. I think we might be due some. lol

Looking Out For Lucky

Despite bickering (which sisters do) I tend to look out for Lucky. I let her snuggle against me, and keep an eye on things while she sleeps. I also help her clean her dinner bowl after she's finished eating. (Someone has to do it.) It's just what sisters do.

Wordless Wednesday

Funny Lucky

When Dad comes home from work, Lucky follows him into the kitchen where he takes off his boots, and then she follows him over to the computer where she sits ON his feet. She doesn't sit on PlusOne's feet, just Dad's.

I would rather sleep on the sofa than Dad's feet. lol

Missed It By That Much

Mom says that you have to hear Maxwell Smart, aka Agent 86, to get the full enjoyment of this saying.

 All I know is that mom and I feel bad for the people stuck on the freeway in Pennsylvania and all the people who got flooded in New Jersey.

She's glad the storm missed us, but she has a feeling we New Englanders know how to handle blizzards better than some parts of the country.

Mom Is Evil!

For all you folks south of New England, the snow will all melt by June. I promise.

Finally Friday

Mom is glad it's Friday. She went to bed too late Wednesday night and she paid for it yesterday by "dragging" all day at work. She wasn't interested in doing that again, so she went to bed (fairly) early last night.
I, on the other hand, don't need to worry about things like that, because I can sleep whenever I want. Aren't I a lucky pug?

Big Story

Or rather, big snow. All I gotta say is THANK GOODNESS it's south of us (at the moment). Hope it stays that way.

We had enough last February, thank you very much!

Thank goodness it's Friday. Finally! I need my mom to cuddle with. The quilt and some pillows just doesn't cut it.

Talkative Thursday

 Once upon a time Mom posted this photo of me NOT enjoying the lovely New England weather we were having.

(It has been VERY windy lately, and I pretty much look just like this when forced to go outside.)

 

And one of Mom's nice blogger friends turned it into this...

 

Mind you, I was outside MAYBE five minutes, at the most ten, but while it felt like days it was probably, really, only three minutes.

(I'm stubborn at times, believe it or not.)

Mom died when she saw the altered photo. She expected the SPCA to come knocking on the door and take me away.Not that I would want to go, or that she would let that happen.

I am VERY glad we do not live in Buffalo, NY. This poor guy's car is going to take a VERY long to defrost. Can you imagine what would have happened to Lucky and I if we had gone outside in THIS weather?

Mom has been a little blue lately, so PlusOne, the Pretty Girlfriend and the crew (all of Plusone's friends who think mom is awesome) came over for a little surprise with this home made angel food cake (Dad said it was yummy) with a pug on top.

Easy LIke Sunday Morning

I don't like rain. And I don't like cold rain either!

Yeah Star Wars!

So Star Wars did in 20 days what took Avatar 330 days to do. It's now the highest grossing movie in domestic history. Now to see if it can take the world wide record. It still hasn't opened in China yet (Jan 9)

 

Mom thought Avatar was a fun movie, but she didn't think it was the end all and be all of movies. Same with Titanic. Schindler's List, ET, heck, even Terminator are all movies mom would rather see at the number one of all time spot.  So Mom was really happy to see The Force Awakens take over from Avatar for highest grossing movie in domestic history. 

What can I say, my mom's loyal.

Enjoying The Sun

I am enjoying the sun (and my bed). It may be cold out, but it is nice and warm inside. In my bed.

Off to Work

When PlusOne takes the car and drops mom off at work, he always brings Lucky and me with him when he picks her up.

Truthful Tuesday

Mom did eventually give me some broccoli, but it sure took a lot of "You want to give Roxy some broccoli" mind tricks before she got the message. I think I may need to work on my Jedi mind technique. What do you think?

Back To Work

While mom is moaning about the fact that she has to go back to work, for a five day work week, (the first one since Thanksgiving) I am waiting for broccoli, which she cooked for lunch and isn't sharing. Doesn't she know that her going back to work is painful and I need some comfort food to... well, COMFORT me????

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Mom's busy shredding, balancing the checkbook and doing year end money stuff. I'm just going to sit here and stay warm.

When Are They Coming Back

Mom says it was awesome to see one of her favorite duos last night. She just wishes they would come back again real soon.

Of course, mom will see him soon in this.
