Mom thought Avatar was a fun movie, but she didn't think it was the end all and be all of movies. Same with Titanic. Schindler's List, ET, heck, even Terminator are all movies mom would rather see at the number one of all time spot. So Mom was really happy to see The Force Awakens take over from Avatar for highest grossing movie in domestic history.
What can I say, my mom's loyal.
