Tattle Tale Tuesday

I am a very good watchdog. Perhaps too good. Mr. Karate came home late Sunday night, and I barked at him. And barked at him. And barked at him until mom picked me up and told me to shush. But I knew she was pleased that I was protecting the house.

Mom says there are advantages to having a 3rd degree Black Belt living with you. I'm not so sure about that. He doesn't feed me any extra food, like dad. Or mom. Of course, when mom is having trouble with a technique, he is handy to have around.

Mr. Karate pities the poor partner mom is going to get Saturday when she does the technique "Capturing the Storm". It's an overhead club attack. After you block the attack, you capture their hands and put them in a wrist lock, cranking their arm up over your head and walking under their arm. Mr. Karate said mom did it VERY well. So well, in fact, that he said she could stop practicing it on him.

Mom Takes A Break

No, not really. Instead, she was working on her second Asian Lap Robe.

Saturday was cold and rainy, a day for snuggling. But yesterday was much nicer. Mom spent it in the sun on the back porch sewing.

She's getting there.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

It was cold and rainy yesterday. It was a very good day for snuggling and sleeping very late with PlusOne.

Today is mom's day to sleep late. Wow, she may get out of bed at 8:00 am instead of 7:00 am!

Sigh. Won't she ever learn?

No Ghosts Allowed

I thought I would give fair warning to the ghosts that they're not welcome here.

And this is what I am going to do to them when I catch them.

What do you think? Do you think that will scare them away?

PlusOne Update

Mom took PlusOne for his annual physical yesterday. The doctor thought he was pretty funny.

PlusOne is 5'2-1/2" tall and weighs 103 pounds. Memere was concerned because PlusOne has gotten a little belly lately. Of course, he eats all day, non stop! The doctor said boys his age do that right before they grow taller (he is in the 60% of weight). The worst part is, over the last two months, PlusOne has only gained ONE pound (eating everything in sight!). Mom says life is very unfair.

On the garbage side, mom shut the slider door to the back porch sewing room, where the garbage can is, and there were no incidents yesterday. Of course, it was chilly out there, so I think it kept the ghosts away. They like warmer weather. (I think they're planning on framing me for something new, so I am keeping my eyes open.)

Thursday Three

1) First off, no one will believe that this cute, sedate dog

did this...

2) Or that this handsome boy

would look for food in the garbage can, when all he has to do is open the cupboard, and eat all the rice krispy treats.

3) Which leads to the only other option being this...
but since we have no cats because mom is allergic to them and I refuse to blame this cat

even though she told me I could, because she gets blamed for everything, there really is only one option.

We have GHOSTS in our house!
